The University of Detroit Mercy Athletic Department participated in National Girls & Women in Sport Day, which took place prior to the women’s basketball game against Milwaukee this past Saturday afternoon at Calihan Hall. There was an overwhelming response from girls ages 8-13 as more than 175 attended the event.

University of Detroit Mercy head women's lacrosse coach Mary Ann Meltzer has announced that two student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for Titans, beginning with the 2010-11 season. The signees are: Jenna Alberts (MF/D, 5-6, Alamo, CA/Monte Vista) and Morgan Lear (D, 5-3, San Ramon, CA/Dougherty Valley).
