ABOUT MOREHEAD STATE

Morehead State (7-2) heads into Wednesday's match-up on a four-game win streak, with its last victory coming on Dec. 14 at home against Houston Baptist (70-62). The Eagles have only played on the road twice, which are their two losses, with the last at Marshall on Nov. 25 (56-51). Sophomore Chynna Bozeman leads MSU with 15.3 points per game, while teammate junior Brittany Pittman leads the nation with 6.0 blocks per contest.

REBOUNDS GALORE
As a team, Detroit outrebounded its opponent for the second game in a row as the Titans collected 44 caroms to Iowa State's 42 on Dec. 14 in Ames, IA. On Dec. 3, UDM outrebounded Bowling Green, 41-38.

HOME SWEET HOME
The Titans have not played a game in Calihan Hall since a 74-60 loss against Indiana State on Nov. 25. Detroit has seen action on the road for the past four contests and have tallied a 1-3 mark in those games. The Titans head to the road again for the next four contests and their next game at home, following the Morehead State match-up, will be on Jan. 8 against Butler (7 p.m.).

DECEMBER HOME OPENER
Since the 1977-78 season, Detroit owns an 18-12 record in its first game played at home in the month of December. This excludes the 1998-99 season as the Titans did not play at Calihan Hall in December. The last time UDM won its December home opener was last season when the Titans edged Albany, 51-49, on Dec. 8.

COLLECTING CAROMS
Sophomore Kealy McNally beat her previous career-high of six rebounds, which she set at Bowling Green on Dec. 3, with eight caroms at Iowa State (Dec. 14). The eight rebound showing was also a game-best.

HELPING WHERE SHE CAN
Freshman Jalesa Jones tied for a game third-best and led Detroit with four assists at Iowa State on Dec. 14.

LAST TIME OUT
The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team dropped a 75-39 decision to Iowa State Sunday on Dec. 14 at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, IA.

UDM senior Sandi Brown led the Titans with 10 points after shooting 4-of-7 from the field and she also tied for a game second-best seven rebounds, while teammate sophomore Kealy McNally set a new career-high of eight caroms.

ISU senior Heather Ezell made eight from long range, all in the first half, to end with a game-high 24 points. As a team, the Cyclones hit 18 treys to tie a school record for 3-pointers made in a single game.
Iowa State led the entire game and after six and a half minutes into the contest, Detroit would only get as close as 17 to the Cyclones. ISU had its largest lead of the game at the 3:30 mark of the second half after a 3-pointer was made to put the score at 75-34.

Detroit outrebounded the Cyclones, 44-42, and the Titans shot 25 percent from the field (14-of-56). ISU had a 28-of-73 showing on the afternoon (38 percent), while dishing out 25 assists to UDM's nine.

HAPPY (EARLY) BIRTHDAY!

COULDN'T MISS
Senior Sandi Brown was perfect from the charity stripe at Albany on Dec. 1 as she made all six of her attempts to tie her career-high of made free throws.

FROM THE FIELD

Freshman Lauren Allen shot 60 percent from the field (6-of-10) at Albany on Dec. 1, which was a game second-best showing of made field goals.

SHE DID IT AGAIN

On Nov. 29 at Colgate, junior Brigid Mulroy led all scorers for the second game in a row as she poured in 16 points after shooting 7-of-16 from the field. In Detroit's match-up against Indiana State four days earlier, Mulroy scored a game-high and a personal-best 21 points.

NO ALARMS WERE SET OFF
Senior Sandi Brown tallied a season-high and game-best five steals at Colgate on Nov. 29. Brown was one away from tying her career-high in this category, which was set on Jan. 4, 2007 against Green Bay.

VS. RANKED TEAMS
The Detroit Titans made history on Nov. 22 as UDM defeated #23 Georgia by a score of 70-66 at Calihan Hall. This marked the first time since the conference changed its name to the Horizon League (2001-02) in which the Titans defeated a ranked opponent. UDM now owns a 1-11 mark in this category.

GOING BACK IN TIME
Detroit's win over Southeastern Conference member school, Georgia, was the first win against an SEC school since Nov. 23, 1979 when the Titans defeated Louisiana State by a score of 84-76 in Detroit. Prior to Saturday's victory, the Titans had lost 13 straight to SEC schools.

COACHING DEBUT AT HOME
Autumn Rademacher coached her first game for the Titans on UDM's home court against #23 Georgia and Detroit came out on the winning end, 70-66. Since the start of UDM women's basketball (1977-78), Rademacher and the eight full-time head coaches prior, now own a collective 4-5 record in their coaching debut on Detroit's home court.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Freshman Lauren Allen collected her first career double-double as she netted a team third-best 13 points and tied for a game-high 11 rebounds against Georgia (Nov. 22). Allen also dished out a team second-best five assists.

DETROIT INKS THREE

The signees are: Demeisha Fambro (G, 5-9, Detroit, MI/Crockett Tech), Kassandra Hooten (F, 6-0, Moorhead, MN/Moorhead) and Cherridy Thornton (F, 6-1, Detroit, MI/Frank Cody Senior).

FINAL FOUR IN DETROIT
The University of Detroit Mercy will serve as the host institution for the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four, which will be held on April 4 & 6, 2009 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
