The Titans are 2-6 all-time against Cincinnati, which includes a 66-59 loss in Detroit's season opener last year (Nov. 14) on the Bearcats home court. In that contest, current senior

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Cincinnati heads into Saturday's contest with a 1-1 overall record, with its lone win coming against Furman at home on Nov. 15 (85-46) and the Bearcats loss came at Indiana three days later by a score of 64-57. Junior Shareese Ulis is averaging a team-best 18.5 points per game, while freshman Daress McClung leads the Bearcats with 9.0 rpg.
LONE SENIOR HONORED
Senior guard
Brigid Mulroy came out of the gate rearing to go in Detroit's opening week as she averaged 20.5 points in the two games. For her efforts, Mulroy was named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week and also earned the Horizon League Network's “The People's Choice” honor.
MORE MULROY
Mulroy opened the 2009-10 campaign with a team third-best 14-point effort in Detroit's 74-65 win at Oakland on Friday, Nov. 13 and, two days later, in UDM's home opener, she shot 8-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-5 from long range, and made all seven attempts at the line to end with a career-high and game-best 27 points versus #10 Michigan State. The eight made field goals matches her career-high and the seven free throws is a new personal best for Detroit's lone senior.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Sophomore
Yar Shayok, whose 2008-09 season was cut short due to an injury, made a huge impact for the Titans against Oakland on Nov. 13 as she collected a double-double with game-highs in both points and rebounds with 26 and 14, respectively. Shayok shot 11-of-14 from the field, 4-of-5 from the line and 10 of her caroms came on the defensive end.
TALE OF TWO HALVES
The Titans shot 36 percent in the first half against Oakland (Nov. 13) and came back from the break to shoot 61 percent in the second stanza, compared to a 29 percent effort from the Golden Grizzlies.
ALMOST PERFECTION
Sophomore
Jalesa Jones made eight of her nine attempts at the charity stripe at Oakland on Nov. 13. All together, Detroit shot 75 percent from the line at the O'Rena.
MAKING HER DEBUT
Freshman guard
Demeisha Fambro played in her first collegiate game on Nov. 13 and made it memorable as she scored a team second-best 17 points after shooting 5-of-11 from the field. She also pulled down a team second-best seven rebounds and added two assists in 33 minutes of play.
LAST TIME OUT

Brigid Mulroy poured in a career-high and game-best 27 points against #10 Michigan State (1-1) in women's basketball action, but the Titans (1-1) were unable to hold on to their one-point halftime lead and fell by a score of 71-62 at Calihan Hall Sunday afternoon.

Yar Shayok pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds for her second consecutive game with double digit caroms.
After State took the lead in the opening minutes of the second stanza, Jones cut Detroit's deficit to two (44-42) by pouring in her second 3-pointer of the afternoon, but State responded with seven unanswered points to take a nine-point lead (51-42) with just over 13 minutes remaining and the Spartans would hold the lead the rest of the contest. Detroit was able to pull within four after Mulroy converted a three-point play at 6:42 (60-56), but that was the closest the Titans would get the rest of the afternoon.
In the opening half, Detroit was ahead by one at 13:25 and tacked on eight unanswered points to take its largest lead of the game at nine (22-13). During the run, Mulroy nailed two from long range, while freshman
Kassandra Hooten made both of her attempts from the line.
UDM held onto its first half lead until Jefferson hit a jumper to put the score at 25-24 with just under seven minutes remaining. The Titans responded with an 8-0 scoring run, which was capped off with back-to-back treys from Shayok and Fambro. After being down by two, Jones sank a 3-pointer with six seconds on the clock to give Detroit a 37-36 advantage at the break.
Detroit shot 35 percent on the day (20-of-57), while Michigan State had a 28-of-68 showing from the field (41 percent). MSU had a 46-33 advantage on the boards, but the Titans shot 78 percent from the charity stripe compared to MSU's 57 percent effort.
ENJOYS HELPING OTHERS
Sophomore
Jalesa Jones has a good heart and it showed as she dished out a game-high seven assists in Detroit's season-opening win at Oakland on Friday.
BIG TEN TEAMS TO CALIHAN
Michigan State and Michigan will both visit Calihan Hall this year, which is the first time since the 2001-02 season in which Detroit has hosted both Big Ten teams. The Titans opened up their home season against MSU (Nov. 15) and will host the Wolverines on Dec. 19.
PEACHY KEEN
Detroit and Georgia will have a rematch this year on Dec. 22 in Athens. Last season, the Titans captured a historic 70-66 victory over then 23rd-ranked Georgia at Calihan Hall on Nov. 22.
YOU LOOK FAMILIAR
When the Titans square-off with Michigan in December, it will pit a former mentor against a mentee as Detroit head coach Autumn Rademacher coached under Michigan head coach Kevin Borseth for three seasons (2004-07) while he was at the helm of Green Bay's women's team.
HORIZON LEAGUE NETWORK
All of Detroit's home games and every road conference contest for the Titans will be televised on the Horizon League Network this year.
NEW TO THE STAFF
Mike Geary enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Detroit women's basketball team. Geary brings with him more than 21 years of college coaching experience as both a head coach and assistant coach.
DETROIT INKS TWO
University of Detroit Mercy head women's basketball coach Autumn Rademacher has announced that two student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titan squad, beginning with the 2010-11 season. The signees are: Megan Hatter (F, 6-0, Howell, MI/Howell) and Senee Shearer (G, 5-7, Detroit, MI/Pershing). Hatter is the sister of current Titan,
Heather Hatter.
