The “Titan 2-Minute Drill” – a regular weekly radio segment featuring Detroit Titans head basketball coach Ray McCallum – will return to the WDFN airwaves for its second season beginning this Wednesday.
The “Titan 2-Minute Drill” will be a regular feature throughout the college basketball season on WDFN, a sports talk radio station. Coach McCallum and new host Sean Baligian will take time out each week to talk about the Titans, the Horizon League and college basketball issues of the day.
The show will be played three times each Wednesday on WDFN – once on Baligian's morning show (airing during the 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. hour), later during Jim Rome's program (between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m.), and once again during the Shep & Sharp Show (Matt Shepard and Drew Sharp) in the afternoon (between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.). A more exact time for each airing will soon be determined. There will also be three airings during those time slots each Wednesday on WDTW.
In his second season at the Titans' helm, coach McCallum has quickly shown the wit and basketball expertise that makes his show a hit with Titan diehards and all college basketball fans alike.
McCallum's Titans come off an impressive 93-46 exhibition victory over Adrian and now travel to 12th-ranked California on Wednesday for their 2009-10 season opener. The game will be televised live on ESPNU beginning at 11:00 p.m.
