JUST A START
Detroit's 76-58 win over Central Michigan its last time out marked the Titans' eighth victory of the season, more than UDM has had in each of the last two seasons.
NO EASY TASK
The Titans and Bears have met once before with Detroit coming away with a 56-51 victory at the Las Vegas Invitational.
CALIHAN HALL TOUGH PLACE TO PLAY FOR NON-CONFERENCE TEAMS
The Titans have made life tough for non-conference opponents visiting Calihan Hall. Detroit is 50-12 in its last 62 home games against non-league schools.
LAST HOME GAME OF THE DECADE
Monday's home game marks the last home game of the decade at Calihan Hall. From the first game in the 10-year period, a 65-51 win over Eastern Kentucky on Jan. 3, 2000, the Titans have comprised a 94-37 record in the Motor City.
TAKING THE ROCK AWAY
UDM forced Central Michigan into 26 turnovers on Dec. 22, including six straight at one point in the first half during a 17-0 Titan run that erased an 11-point deficit.
The 26 turnovers are a season high and were the most an opponent has had since Eastern Michigan had 26 against the Titans last season. During this season, Detroit's defense has forced 20+ turnovers in five games, and 15 or more in nine games.
HISTORY VS. NON DIVISION I OPPONENTS
The Titans have won their last 18 games against non-Division I foes. The last time Detroit dropped a game outside of Division I was in 1993 when UDM fell to Wayne State, 82-76.
Overall, the Titans are 241-44 all-time against current non-Division I opponents.
LEE'S 3'S
Junior
Lamar Lee had a reputation as a 3-point shooter and so far he has lived up to that billing. For the season, 15 of Lee's 21 field goals have been from behind the arc, which is tied for first on the squad.
Lee has also done well adjusting to Detroit especially in the last seven games where he is shooting 56% (14-of-25), including 55% from three (10-of-18). In his first five games, the guard was hitting only 21% (7-of-32) from the field and 20% (5-of-25) from the outside.
