ESPNU BracketBusters Will Take Titans To Tennessee State

The last missing piece on Detroit's men's basketball schedule was filled in tonight when it was announced that the Titans will play at Tennessee State on Feb. 21 as part of the annual ESPNU BracketBusters.

Game time and fan ticket information are still to be announced. The game will be broadcast live locally on WDFN-AM 1130. As part of the arrangement, Tennessee State will return the game by playing at Calihan Hall next season.

A member of the Ohio Valley Conference, TSU is led by sophomore guard Gerald Robinson, who currently averages 17.4 points a game. He's one of three players in double figures for TSU, which carries a 6-15 record into its OVC match-up with Murray State on Wednesday.

Riding a hot streak, the Titans have won two of their last three games as they get ready to host 11th-ranked Butler on Thursday night in Calihan Hall in their next action. The game will be televised live on Fox Sports Detroit, with a tip-off time of 8:06 p.m.

The seventh annual ESPNU BracketBusters event, a two-day men's college basketball extravaganza, features 13 nationally-televised games – on either ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN360.com – selected from a pool of 102 teams on Feb. 20-21. The 76 teams not selected for a TV game will compete against each other over those same two days.

The 102-team field features 12 teams from the Mid-American Conference and Colonial Athletic Association; 10 from the Ohio Valley, Missouri Valley, Horizon League and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference; nine from the Western Athletic Conference and Big West; four from the America East and Southern; three from the Big South; two from the Big Sky, the Summit League and the West Coast Conference; and one from the MEAC, Northeast and Patriot League.
