What a great time to be a Titan fan! From Thursday through Saturday of this week, the games and special events just keep on coming.
Everything starts on Thursday with a 12 noon Roundball Luncheon in the Calihan Hall lobby, sponsored by National Coney Island. The cost is $10 per person as coach Ray McCallum fills fans in on the latest Titan news. And it doesn't end 'til Saturday, with three big games and plenty else.
Thursday also starts a men's basketball home stand as the Titans entertain Green Bay. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m.
On Saturday, the games come back-to-back-to-back.
Women's lacrosse plays its first regular-season home contest, hosting Niagara at 11:00 a.m., to get the day started. The Athletic Department will serve a complimentary French toast and sausage breakfast, along with coffee and hot chocolate, beginning at 10:30 am at Titan Field.
Once that game ends, the action moves inside Calihan Hall as the women's basketball team hosts Wright State at 1:30, followed by the Titan men vs. Milwaukee at 4:05. And, any fan with a ticket stub from the lacrosse game will be given free admittance to the basketball games.
Basketball fans will be able to enjoy all these Saturday festivities:
* Mascot Day at Calihan Hall, with mascots from teams and organizations around Detroit on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and play some basketball. Paws from the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions' Roary will highlight the event along with UDM's own Tommy Titan.
* A pre-game reception in the Titan Club Room for parents of men's basketball seniors and spirit group seniors.
*A pre-game Chalk Talk – at 3:20 pm in the Titan Club – featuring men's basketball assistant coach Carlos Briggs.
* Men's basketball Senior Day, as Chris Hayes, Tryl Hartfield and Michael Harrington are recognized prior to the game.
* And, after the game, the ever-popular “Shirt off your Back” promotion. All fans can sign up to win a free shirt.
