Horizon League Network

Detroit returns home for the last week of the regular season as Detroit will look to end a four game slide when the Titans host Green Bay on Thursday. Tip-off is slated for 7:05 p.m. inside Calihan Hall.

The “Voice of the Titans” Matt Dery will have all the action on WDFN-AM 1130. The Horizon League Network will have a live webstream of the event, while fans can also catch a live stats feed through CSTV's gametracker. Be sure to check the new DetroitTitans.com and the HorizonLeagueNetwork.tv for more details.

UDM (7-20, 2-14 HL) is coming off a tough 78-75 setback at Tennessee State on Saturday. Senior Michael Harrington led three Titans' in double figures with a career-high 14 points. The Titans shot a season-high 58 % for the game and outrebounded the Tigers, 30-23, but could not contain TSU's three-point shooting as the home team made 10-of-20 from long range.

ABOUT GREEN BAY
Green Bay still has hopes of landing the No. 1 seed in the Horizon League Tournament as the Phoenix (21-8, 12-4 HL) currently sit in second place just one game behind Butler for the top spot. With the conference bunched up at the top, Green Bay has a chance to finish anywhere from first to fourth.

Green Bay is the highest scoring team in the Horizon League at 73 points per game. They also lead the conference in field goal, 3-point field goal and free throw percentage.

The Phoenix is led by senior Ryan Tillema who tops the team in scoring at 16.9 ppg. He is shooting 46 % from the field and 43 % from three-point territory.

Junior Troy Cotton is second on the squad at 12.3 ppg., while sophomore Rahmon Fletcher is averaging 10.7 ppg., while running the Green Bay offense with 4.1 assists per contest.

Green Bay also has an experienced front line in seniors Terry Evans (10.7 ppg., 5.3 rpg.) and Mike Schachtner (11.5 ppg., 4.6 rpg.).

Tod Kowalczyk is in his seventh season at the helm of the Green Bay program. He owns an overall record of 113-95 and is 6-8 lifetime against the Detroit Titans.

DETROIT VS GREEN BAY
This will be the 36th meeting between Detroit and Green Bay, with Titans owning the overall series 19-16. Green Bay has won three straight in the series, but UDM is 9-6 all-time against the Phoenix in Calihan Hall.

POST-SEASON POSSIBILITIES
With just two games left in the regular season, the Horizon League Tournament is just around the corner with first round games set for Tuesday, Mar. 3. At this point, it is still unclear who the Titans will face as a long jam atop the conference standings has three teams still vying for the top seed in the tournament, as well as five possible programs the Titans could take on in the first round.

UDM itself can still pull its way out of the bottom seed with two wins combined with two losses by Valparaiso. If Detroit were to win its last two, which would mean a win over Green Bay, then the Titans would get the ninth seed over the Crusaders due to the tiebreaker of record against the top team in the standings on down.

Of course, a loss by the Titans will automatically give them the 10th seed.

HARRINGTON NETS CAREER BEST
Senior Michael Harrington came off the bench to put in a career-high 14 points at Tennessee State on Feb. 21. Harrington was 5-of-5 from the field, also a career high in field goals, and was 4-for-5 at the free throw line. He accomplished all this in just 17 minutes of action.

KNOCKING THEM DOWN
Detroit shot a season-high 58% (31-of-53) against Tennessee State its last time out. The 31 field goals were also a season high and the most by a Titan team since they had 33 at Buffalo on Feb. 17, 2007, also a BracketBuster game.

STEPHENS STARTING TO SCORE
Junior Eulis Stephens is averaging 12.0 points per game over his last two games, with 13 points at Tennessee State and 11 at Loyola. Stephens has three double digit scoring outings in the last five games and seven for the season.
occasions.

HARD WORK PAYING OFF
Sophomore walk-on Ryan Janer earned his first collegiate start at Tennessee State his last time out. After playing in just seven of the Titans' first 19 games of the year, the Bay City product has seen the court in eight straight games.
