Winners of three of its last five, Detroit will now play four of its last six remaining regular season games on the road, starting with a trip to Chicago to face UIC on Tuesday. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m. (EST). The contest marks the third time this season that the Titans will head to the Windy City with still another game on the schedule when UDM faces Loyola next Wednesday, Feb. 18
The “Voice of the Titans” Matt Dery will have all the action from the UIC Pavilion on WDTW-AM 1310. The Horizon League will webcast all regular and post-season games. ABOUT UIC
UIC comes into the contest tied for eighth in the conference with a 3-10 mark. Overall, the Flames are 10-13 with some quality non-conference victories on the road against Vanderbilt (74-55) and Georgia Tech (66-60), but have struggled with injuries in the last few weeks.
UIC has had starting guards Josh Mayo and Spencer Stewart along with starting forward Jeremy Buttell all miss some time with injuries. The injuries formed UIC to play just six players in a contest against Milwaukee on Jan. 31.
The Flames are led by Mayo, who tops the team and the Horizon League in scoring at 16.2 points per game. He is also seventh in the conference in assists (3.5), second in free throw percentage (.872) and seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.378).
Senior Scott VanderMeer, who stands at 7-1 255-pounds, currently leads the conference in rebounding (9.2) and blocked shots (2.8), while adding 11.4 ppg.
Sophomore Robo Kreps is tied for second on the team with 11.4 ppg., while sophomore forward Tori Boyd is third on the team with 4.4 rebounds per game and fourth in scoring at 10.1 a night.
Jimmy Collins is in his13th season at UIC as is the Flames all-time winningest coach with 204-183 career record.
DETROIT VS. UIC
Detroit owns the overall series, 21-10, including an 9-6 mark in the Windy City. The teams have split the last 10 meetings, with UIC claiming a 66-61 victory earlier in the year at Calihan Hall.
SEASON HIGH FOR HAYES

Chris Hayes netted his third career 20-point game with 20 markers his last time out against Valparaiso. Hayes was 8-of-11 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
Since returning from a three game suspension on Jan. 22, senior
Chris Hayes has picked up his game, highlighted by his season-high 20 points against Valpo, his near double-double at Youngstown State (11 points and nine rebounds) as well as 18 points against No. 11/11 Butler.
In the last four games, Hayes is averaging 14.7 ppg., and 6.5 rpg.
