The UDM men's basketball team has announced an expanded summer camp program featuring five different camps throughout the months of June and August. All the camps will be held on the campus of the University of Detroit Mercy in Calihan Hall

For the second year in a row, Detroit will host two separate Elite Camps starting on Tuesday, June 16, with the second on Wednesday, August 5. The camp, open to high school students, will focus on intense individual workouts with all the players evaluated by the UDM coaching staff. An NCAA rules session will also be conducted. The cost of that camp is $35.00 per athlete and will run from 1-5 p.m.

The Ray McCallum Basketball Team Shootout will take place from Friday-Sunday, June 19-21. The high school shootout is open to both junior varsity and varsity squads with the weekend featuring registered officials for five guaranteed games in addition to a camp tournament. The cost of the camp is $325.00 per team, which includes a shirt for all team members. UDM has also secured a number of hotel rooms for this event for participating teams. More information on the special hotel rates provided by the Detroit Titans partner hotels can be found on top of the page.

Also in June, UDM will host two separate instructional camps for students in grades 7-12. The first is the Post Play Instructional School held from Monday-Thursday, June 22-25. The camp will be held during the day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will focus on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball as well as rebounding and screening.

The Shooting & Offensive Moves Instructional School will take place in the afternoon on June 22-25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The afternoon camp will teach kids the fundamentals of offensive foot work, shot selection, dribbling and passing against pressure and transition techniques as well as many other topics and skills.

The cost for either camp is $40.00 per kid, which will also include a camp shirt. The Detroit Marriott Southfield will have a number of rooms at a reduced cost for those attending the individual camps from June 21-24. The Ray McCallum Basketball Camp returns and will be open to all students, grades 4-12. The camp is designed to help kids improved their knowledge and overall skills as each camper goes through individual and team drills, along with daily lessons on the game of basketball. The camp will be held from Monday-Thursday, August 3-6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost of the day camp is $100.00 per kid with a shirt provided.
