Rademacher Adds an NJCAA All-American to 2009-10 Roster

University of Detroit Mercy head women's basketball coach Autumn Rademacher has announced that NJCAA Division II All-American Tayler Langham (G, 5-9, Plymouth, MI/Salem) will be added to UDM's 2009-10 roster. Langham has played the previous two years at Schoolcraft College, which means that she is immediately eligible to participate.

“I am very pleased to announce the signing of Division II Junior College All-American Tayler Langham from Schoolcraft College," said Rademacher. "She is an incredible scorer who led her team to a runner-up finish in the Division II national championship game this past season."

Langham earned the All-America honors for her efforts during the 2008-09 campaign and became only the third player in Schoolcraft College history to receive this recognition. She also helped lead Schoolcraft to the NJCAA Division II National Championship game, but the Ocelots came up short to Kirkwood (Iowa).

"She is extremely athletic, runs the floor, can penetrate to the basket, shoot from the outside, and knows what it takes to win. Under outstanding coaching by Schoolcraft's Karen Lafata, Tayler has two years of collegiate basketball under her belt and I fully expect her to make an immediate impact on our program.”

Langham closed out this past season leading the Ocelots with 15.9 points per game and shot a resounding .506 from the field. Both of these numbers had her ranked in the top-50 among Langham's conference peers.

For her career at Schoolcraft, Langham played in 67 games and scored a total of 731 points.

Langham is a 2007 graduate of Salem High School where she was a two-year varsity letterwinner in basketball.
