The latest NCAA men's basketball statistics were released on Tuesday and sophomore center
Eli Holman is among the top 20 players in the nation in two categories.
Holman currently ranks fifth in Division I in field-goal percentage hitting 61.5 percent from the field. He is also 18th in blocked shots at 2.8 per game as well as 61st in rebounding at 8.8 per contest.
Senior guard
Woody Payne is just outside the top 20 in steals at 23rd with 2.4 per game.
As a team, Detroit ranks in the top 75 in four areas. The Titans are 48th in three-point field goal percentage defense, allowing just 30.2 percent from the outside, as well as 73rd in overall field goal percentage defense (40.4%). UDM is 52nd in field goal percentage (46.9%) and 58th with a 4.6 rebounding margin.
In the Horizon League, Holman leads the conference in field goal percentage and blocks and is second in rebounding (8.8 rpg.). Payne is second in steals, fourth in assists (3.4 apg) and fifth with a 1.5 assist to turnover ratio, while sophomore guard
Chase Simon is ninth in scoring at 13.8 points per game.
The red, white and blue stand first in scoring offense (71.1 ppg.), three point field goal percentage defense, field goal percentage defense and blocked shots (4.3 bpg.), and are second in field goal percentage, rebounding (36.6 rpg.) and rebounding margin.
The Titans will host Wright State on Homecoming Saturday at 2:05 p.m., in a game that will be televised on FOX Sports Detroit.
