“2000, ZERO, ZERO...”
The last time Detroit started 4-1 in league play was during the 1999-2000 season when it was the MCC. The Titans opened up conference play on Jan. 13 with a 70-56 loss against Green Bay and then went on to win six straight: Milwaukee (71-68), UIC (81-73), Loyola (88-73), Wright State (48-33), Butler (76-64) and Cleveland State (91-83), with the sixth victory happening on Feb. 5.
FREE FALLIN'

Brigid Mulroy made four-straight key free throws in the middle of the second half against the Ramblers to help lift Detroit to a 53-50 victory on Jan. 16.
BAKER'S DOZEN
With Shayok leading the Titans in rebounds the past two games, she has now led or tied for the lead among her teammates in this category 12 times thus far this season.
TWICE AS NICE
Senior
Brigid Mulroy was named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Jan. 18 for her efforts on the court this past week. This marks the second time this season in which Mulroy has received this honor (Nov. 16). Mulroy averaged a team-best 18.0 points per game on the week and shot 10-of-14 from 3-point range, which included a flawless 5-for-5 showing against the Flames on Thursday. Mulroy shot a combined 10-of-15 from the field and made all six free throws on the week.
DID YOU KNOW?
Senior
Brigid Mulroy has been ranked in the top-5 in the nation for 3-point field goal percentage every week thus far this season, except for one and she has been ranked first in the Horizon League in the same category since Nov. 24.
FIVE IS DEFINITELY ALIVE
Not only did senior
Brigid Mulroy make all five attempts from long range, but her last one left her hands just as time expired to help propel the Titans to a 66-65 win over visiting UIC on Jan. 14. In addition, Mulroy missed only one attempt all night as she had a 5-of-6 showing from the field and she also made both attempts at the line to end with a game second-best 17 points.
THREE'S COMPANY
There were three key players in the final play for the Titans on Jan. 14 as sophomore
Lauren Allen took the throw-in from the other end of the court and passed it to sophomore
Jalesa Jones, who then got it into the hands of the current Horizon League leader in 3-point field goal percentage,
Brigid Mulroy.
ONE FOR THE MONEY
Prior to last season's 76-75 overtime win at Eastern Michigan (Dec. 20), the last time the Titans defeated their opponent by just one point was at Toledo on Nov. 23, 2003 (50-49).
SEVEN-UP
After making 10 treys last week, Mulroy now stands all alone at the seventh spot in Detroit's record books with 118 career 3-pointers.
HERE TO HELP
Sophomore
Lauren Allen dished out a game-high seven assists against the Flames on Jan. 14. Allen also added a team third-best 10 points, which included two treys, to tie for a season-high.
LEADING THE WAY
Sophomore
Yar Shayok shot 9-of-14 from the field to end with a game-high 18 points against the Flames on Jan. 14. This marks the ninth time that Shayok has scored in double figures thus far this season. Shayok also led the Titans in rebounds as she added a game second-best eight caroms.
HOME SWEET HOME
Detroit has now won four-straight games at Calihan Hall, which began against Colgate on Dec. 30 (67-44) and the most recent win was a 53-50 victory over Loyola (Jan. 16). The last time the Titans won four consecutive contests at Calihan Hall was during the 2001-02 campaign as Detroit defeated Butler on Jan. 3 (86-68), Wright State two days later (60-49), Cleveland State on Jan. 12 (94-67) and then UIC by a score of 83-65 (Jan. 24).
START YOUR ENGINES
For the past six games, head coach Autumn Rademacher has used the starting line-up of sophomores
Yar Shayok,
Jalesa Jones and
Lauren Allen, as well as senior
Brigid Mulroy and junior
Tayler Langham. This starting five has compiled a 5-1 record, which started with a 67-44 win over visiting Colgate on Dec 30.
TWO FOR THE SHOW
For the second time this season, sophomore
Lauren Allen led the Titans in scoring as she netted 11 points after having a 4-of-7 showing from the field at Green Bay on Jan. 9. Two of those field goals were 3-pointers, which ties Allen's season-high in that category.
THREE TO GET READY
As a team, the Titans made nine 3-pointers against UIC on Jan. 14, which is the second-best showing for Detroit in this category thus far this year. Detroit set the standard for the season at Indiana State (Dec. 1) when the Titans poured in 10 from beyond the arc.
I'LL TAKE THREE OF THOSE
Two points wasn't enough for sophomore
Lauren Allen, so she sank one from long range with 30 seconds left in the game against Milwaukee (Jan. 7) to help lift the Titans to their third-straight win.
RUNNING FROM THE LAW
When we were young, we were taught that it's not okay to steal, but there's an exception and sophomore
Yar Shayok proved that on Jan. 7 as she collected a career-high, game-best and a season-high single game showing for the Titans with six steals.
MAKING A 'BIG' IMPACT
Sophomore
Jalesa Jones, also known as 'Lil' Bit', poured in a team-high 14 points after making a career-high six field goals and also added a team-best five assists against Milwaukee on Jan. 7.

HAPPY DAYS, AGAIN
Richie Cunningham or Fonzie couldn't be found in the stands on Thursday, but it was a 'Happy Day' for the Titans as their win against Milwaukee on Jan. 7 was the first on the Panthers' home court since March 3, 2005 (59-49).
THAT'S MY BALL

LONE SENIOR HONORED

MORE MULROY

The eight made field goals matches her career-high and the seven free throws is a personal best for Detroit's lone senior.
DOUBLE OR NOTHING

BIG TEN TEAMS TO CALIHAN
Michigan was the second Big Ten team to visit Calihan Hall this year as Detroit opened up its home slate with a match-up against Michigan State on Nov. 15 and faced off with the Wolverines on Dec. 19. The last time UDM hosted both of these teams was during the 2001-02 season.
LAST TIME OUT
Behind senior
Brigid Mulroy's game-high 19-point effort and sophomore
Yar Shayok's career-high 16 rebounds, the Detroit women's basketball team edged Loyola, 53-50, in a Horizon League match-up on Jan. 16 for the Titans' fourth consecutive win at Calihan Hall.
Mulroy had a 5-of-9 showing from beyond the arc and made all four attempts at the line, while Shayok added nine points and also dished out a career-high five assists.
With 10:55 remaining in the game, Mulroy was fouled after the shot and then a technical was called on the Ramblers. Mulroy made both attempts for the technical and then converted a one-and-one to put the score at 37-34 in favor of the Titans. The next three baskets were 3-pointers, one made by Detroit sophomore
Lauren Allen and the other two netted by LUC senior Jessica Hylton to knot the game at 40 with just over eight minutes left in the contest.
Detroit took over and led the rest of the game, with its largest lead of eight (48-40) happening with just over six minutes left after sophomore
Jalesa Jones made both of her free throw attempts. Senior Maggie McCloskey pulled Loyola within two with 35 seconds on the clock and Jones made one free throw to give UDM a three-point cushion. McClosky had two attempts from beyond the arc to tie it in the closing seconds, but neither shot made it through the net.
Down by 11 at the 6:25 mark of the first half, Detroit responded with 12 unanswered points to pull ahead of the Ramblers, 20-19. During that span, junior
Tayler Langham scored four of Detroit's points and Mulroy netted one of her 3-pointers. Allen's jumper in the closing minute tied the game at 22, which was the score at the break.
