FOUR CAR PILE-UP

FAVORITE DAY OF THE WEEK
The Titans are 3-0 thus far this year when playing on Thursdays.
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Thus far this season, Detroit owns a 3-0 mark in Horizon League games that are played at Calihan Hall. In those three contests, UDM is outscoring its opponents by an average of 8.3 points.
ALMOST PERFECT
Senior
Brigid Mulroy is shooting an impressive 95 percent from the charity stripe (20-of-21) in Horizon League games. Mulroy has made 15-straight free throws, dating back to Milwaukee (Jan. 7) when she made the second of her two attempts at the line.
BAKER'S DOZEN, PLUS TWO
With sophomore
Yar Shayok leading the Titans in rebounds the past four games, she has now led or tied for the lead among her teammates in this category 14 times thus far this season.
HELP IS ON THE WAY
Sophomore
Jalesa Jones has collected at least one assist in every game except one and is averaging a team-high 4.6 assists per game. Jones has led or tied for the lead among her teammates in assists 12 times this year.
DEFENSIVE GLASS
Seventy-two percent of sophomore
Yar Shayok's 162 team-high total rebounds has been on the defensive end.
NO THORN FOUND IN SIDE
Freshman
Cherridy Thornton tied her personal-best of four rebounds and set a new season-high of two assists against Butler this past Saturday.
PERSONAL-BEST
Sophomore
Sierra Spaude made her first trip to the line in a Titan uniform and made both of her attempts to help her end with a personal-best five points at Butler on Jan. 23.
PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES
Sophomore
Jaimee Stoner saw 13 minutes of action at Butler on the 23rd to match her personal-best in this category. Stoner also tied her personal-high of one steal and went on to set new personal standards in rebounds and assists with three and one, respectively.
MAKING IT COUNT
Sophomore
Sierra Spaude was subbed back into the game with 28 seconds left in regulation against Valpo on Jan. 21 and, five seconds later, she made a crucial basket from beyond the arc to pull Detroit within two, which eventually helped force overtime with the Crusaders.
EXTRA SESSION
The Titans have played in three overtime games in head coach Autumn Rademacher's tenure and Detroit owns a 2-1 mark in these games, including last Thursday night's 72-70 victory over the Crusaders. The other victory came in double overtime at Eastern Michigan on Dec. 20 (76-75).
70-PLUS
For the third time this season, Detroit scored 70 or more points and the 72-point effort at Valpo on Jan. 21 is the second-most points that the Titans have scored thus far this season. UDM set the standard in its season-opening win at Oakland on Nov. 13 (74).
STEALING FOR THE BETTER
Sophomore
Jalesa Jones has a good heart, but when it comes to stealing on the court, no one could hold her back against Valpo on Jan. 21 as she collected a career-high and game-best six steals. One of them was critical in setting up the game-tying basket by sophomore
Yar Shayok in the closing seconds of regulation.
BATTER-UP!
Senior
Brigid Mulroy will don another Titan uniform after basketball season is over as the West Bloomfield native is going to play infield for Detroit's softball squad.
OUT OF BREATH?
Forget the 40-minute club, two Titans are now part of the 45-minute club for the season as sophomores
Jalesa Jones and
Lauren Allen played every minute against the Crusaders on Jan. 21. This ties a personal-best for Allen and sets a career-high for Jones in this category.
DOUBLIN' UP, TIMES FOUR
Four players scored in double figures for Detroit on Jan. 21, which marks the fifth time this season that at least four athletes have scored in double figures. The four other times this occurred was: Oakland (Nov. 13), Morehead State (Dec. 13), Colgate (Dec. 30), Wright State (Jan. 3). The Titans own a 4-1 record in those games, with the lone loss coming at Morehead State.
TEN PLUS FIVE
Freshman
Demeisha Fambro came off the bench to score a team second-best 15 points against Valpo on Jan. 21, 10 of which were scored in regulation and the remaining five were the first points scored in overtime.
“2000, ZERO, ZERO...”
The last time Detroit started 5-2 in league play was during the 1999-2000 season when it was the MCC. The Titans opened up conference play on Jan. 13 with a 70-56 loss against Green Bay and then went on to win six straight: Milwaukee (71-68), UIC (81-73), Loyola (88-73), Wright State (48-33), Butler (76-64) and Cleveland State (91-83), with the sixth victory happening on Feb. 5.
CAREER NUMBERS
Sophomore

MIRROR IMAGE

TWICE AS NICE
Senior

She averaged a team-best 18.0 points per game on the week and shot 10-of-14 from 3-point range, which included a flawless 5-for-5 showing against the Flames on Thursday. Mulroy shot a combined 10-of-15 from the field and made all six free throws on the week. In addition, Mulroy was voted as the Horizon League Network's “The People's Choice” winner (Jan. 21) for the second time this year.

FIVE IS DEFINITELY ALIVE
Not only did senior
Brigid Mulroy make all five attempts from long range against UIC on Jan. 14, but her last one left her hands just as time expired to help propel the Titans to a 66-65 win over the visiting Flames. In addition, Mulroy missed only one attempt all night as she had a 5-of-6 showing from the field and she also made both attempts at the line to end with a game second-best 17 points.
SEVEN-UP

START YOUR ENGINES
For the past eight games, head coach Autumn Rademacher has used the starting line-up of sophomores
Yar Shayok,
Jalesa Jones and
Lauren Allen, as well as senior
Brigid Mulroy and junior
Tayler Langham. This starting five has compiled a 6-2 record, which started with a 67-44 win over visiting Colgate on Dec 30.
THREE TO GET READY
As a team, the Titans made nine 3-pointers against UIC on Jan. 14, which is the second-best showing for Detroit in this category thus far this year. Detroit set the standard for the season at Indiana State (Dec. 1) when the Titans poured in 10 from beyond the arc.
I'LL TAKE THREE OF THOSE
Two points wasn't enough for sophomore
Lauren Allen, so she sank one from long range with 30 seconds left in the game against Milwaukee (Jan. 7) to help lift the Titans to their third-straight win.
RUNNING FROM THE LAW
When we were young, we were taught that it's not okay to steal, but there's an exception and sophomore
Yar Shayok proved that on Jan. 7 as she collected a career-high and game-best six steals.
MAKING A 'BIG' IMPACT
Sophomore
Jalesa Jones, also known as 'Lil' Bit', poured in a team-high 14 points after making a career-high six field goals and also added a team-best five assists against Milwaukee on Jan. 7.
HAPPY DAYS, AGAIN
Richie Cunningham or Fonzie couldn't be found in the stands on Thursday, but it was a 'Happy Day' for the Titans as their win against Milwaukee on Jan. 7 was the first on the Panthers' home court since March 3, 2005 (59-49).
