Two Titans are in the top 55 in the nation in four individual categories as the NCAA released its' latest national statistics on Jan. 3.
Sophomore
Eli Holman is currently 10th in the country in field goal percentage (61.2%), 25th in blocked shots (2.6) and 53rd in rebounding (9.1).
Meanwhile, senior
Woody Payne is 23rd in the country in steals at 2.4 per game.
The Titan defense has also made its marks nationally as it stands 34th in the country in 3-point field goal defense (29.4%), 52nd in steals (8.5), 67th in field goal defense (39.9%) and 80th in field goal percentage (45.9%).
In the latest Horizon League stats, also released on Jan. 3, Holman leads the league in field-goal percentage and blocks. He is also second in rebounding and double-doubles (5), while Payne is second in the conference in steals and assists to turnover ratio (1.7, 50-A, 30-T). Junior
Xavier Keeling is fourth in the league in field goal percentage (48.4%) and tied for seventh in steals (1.7).
As a unit, UDM leads the HL in field-goal percentage defense, 3-point field-goal percentage defense, and block shots (4.0). Detroit is also second in steals (8.5), field-goal percentage and rebounding (36.7) and fourth in scoring defense allowing just 65.0 points per game.
Detroit will be back in action on Friday as the Titans entertain the Crusaders of Valparaiso in Calihan Hall at 7:05 p.m., in a national televised game on ESPNU.
