2010-11 Men's Basketball Schedule

The Titan Ticket Office announced today that single game tickets are now on sale for the 2010-11 men's and women's basketball seasons, including the men's home contest against Butler on Jan. 14, 2011.  

“ALL KIDS GET IN FREE” on Friday, Nov. 19, at the only doubleheader of the season.  All youth 18 years old & younger will receive free admission to watch the women's team take on Western Michigan at 5:00 p.m., followed by the men hosting Indiana Tech at 7:30 p.m. Titan men's career leading scorer Rashad Phillips (1998-2001) will be honored prior to the men's game for his accomplishments on the hardwood.

The Titan men's squad will play host to the three-day Legends Classic tournament over the Thanksgiving weekend, with Bowling Green, Albany, and Niagara coming to Calihan Hall. Tickets are good for two games on each day during the Legends Classic.

Rival Butler, fresh off its NCAA Final Four® appearance, comes to town on Friday, Jan. 14 to face Detroit in a highly anticipated matchup televised live nationally on ESPN U.  Detroit took runner-up billing in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, while Butler occupied the top spot.  FOX Sports Detroit will provide live television coverage for three other key Horizon League home conference matchups on the men's side, Saturday, Dec. 4 vs. Wright State, Sunday, Jan. 16 vs. Valparaiso (2011 Homecoming Game), and Thursday, Feb. 3 vs. UIC.

On Nov. 12, the Titan women open their season against cross-town rival Oakland University in Detroit, and then continue the home stand by hosting familiar opponents Ball State and Western Michigan the following week.  The Titans close out the regular season at home against 2010 Horizon League champion Green Bay, who was upset by Detroit during the 2009-10 campaign at Calihan Hall.

Fans can purchase tickets to any regular season game by calling (313) 993-1700 or by visiting the Titan Ticket Office in Calihan Hall (McNichols Campus).  The box office is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and during all men's and women's basketball home games.  Additionally, tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster.com, or at any Ticketmaster outlet.  While the preferred season ticket deadline has passed, great seats are still available for season ticket purchase.
