DETROIT -- The Detroit women's basketball team has just one more trip left in its seven-game road swing as the Titans face in-state for Michigan on Saturday. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m., at Crisler Arena.

The game can be seen live on the BigTenNetwork.com, a webstream that requires users to pay in order to view the game. Fans can also follow the action on CSTV's gametracker for free. Both links are located on top of the page.

The Titans are coming off a 78-66 setback at IPFW, where sophomore Cherridy Thornton came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 16 points. Freshman Senee Shearer added 13 in her first collegiate start, while junior Jalesa Jones and senior Tayler Langham netted 11 apiece.

The game marks the end of seven straight on the road as the Titans return home for the first time since Nov. 19 when they host Marygrove on Dec. 27, at 5:00 p.m.

DETROIT VS. MICHIGAN
Detroit is 11-9 all-time against its rivals from Ann Arbor, but Michigan has won six in a row over the Titans. UDM's last win over the Wolverines was on Jan. 9, 1994, when a Titan squad, led by then freshman and current Detroit head coach Autumn Rademacher, posted a 79-69 victory.

The last win the red, white and blue had on the road in the series was on Dec. 21, 1983, as the Titans came away with a 72-65 decision.

Overall, UDM is 4-5 on the road against U-M.

ABOUT THE WOLVERINES
Michigan enters the game having won two straight to get to 6-4 on the year. Both wins came at Crisler Arena as the maize & blue downed Kansas and New Mexico State.

U-M has used the same starting five all season, led by Veronica Hicks, who tops the team in scoring (11.1) and assists (3.2). Carmen Reynolds is second on the team in scoring at 10.1 ppg., while Jenny Ryan is the Wolverines' top rebounder at 5.0 per game.

The Wolverines are 4-1 at home this year, with their lone setback at the hands of No. 5 Xavier back on Nov. 15.

LAST YEAR'S RECAP
Lauren Allen led the Titans with 12 points and Yar Shayok grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, but Detroit dropped a 65-51 decision to Michigan at Calihan Hall.

Detroit came right out of the gate and took control of the game as the Titans scored 11 unanswered points in the opening minutes and maintained their lead the entire first half against Michigan.

Michigan knotted the game at 32 at 16:12 of the second stanza and Veronica Hicks followed with a lay-up to give the Wolverines their first lead of the game. UDM's Tayler Langham drained one from long range to pull Detroit within one (40-39) with just over 11 minutes left, but that was the closest the Titans would get as U-M pulled away to earn the win.

TITANS VS. THE BIG TEN
The Titans are 31-37 all-time against current teams from the Big Ten, with its last victory against the conference on Dec. 20, 1994, when the Titans defeated Michigan State, 75-70.

COACH REMEMBERS THE LAST WIN OVER THE BIG TEN
Since head coach Autumn Rademacher came back to her alma mater, Detroit is 0-4 against the Big Ten conference, falling to Michigan State three times as well as a setback against Michigan last year.

But coach certainly remembers the last win Detroit had over Michigan. As a freshman guard for the Titans, Rademacher scored a team-high 18 points as the red, white and blue downed U-M, 79-60, on Jan. 9, 1994.

WE WERE ONCE ON THE SAME TEAM
Detroit head coach Autumn Rademacher and Michigan head coach Kevin Borseth were both members of the same coaching staff at Green Bay. For three seasons (2004-07), Rademacher was an assistant to Borseth as the Phoenix won two Horizon League titles and made two NCAA tournament appearances as well as an NIT showing.

LAST ROAD GAME, FOR NOW
Detroit stared the season with three straight homes games, but since beating Western Michigan, 66-53, on Nov. 19, the Titans have been on the road. The contest at Michigan marks the final game of a seven-game road trip as the Titans return home to face Marygrove on Dec. 27. It will be a short stay in the Motor City as the red, white and blue will then quickly hit the road to Wisconsin as Detroit opens league play against Green Bay and at Milwaukee.

In 33 years of play at Calihan Hall, the Titans have enjoyed a 248-134 (.646) home court record. Last season, UDM went 10-6 at home, including 8-1 in conference play.

Away from Calihan, Detroit has posted a 241-326 all-time record.

SHEARER GETS THE STARTING NOD
Freshman Senee Shearer stepped up for the Titans when the team needed her as she made her first collegiate start at IPFW in Detroit's last game.

Playing without leading scorer Demeisha Fambro and starting guard Dominique Dixon, Shearer went on to score a season-high 13 points in 37 minutes of action.

THORNTON BACK TO HER SCORING WAYS
Sophomore Cherridy Thornton came off the bench to net a team-high 16 points at IPFW. She was 6-of-12 from the field, which included a pair of 3-pointers, and pulled down four rebounds.

Thornton, who has a 20-point game under her belt this season against Ball State, had been held scoreless in her last three games going 0-for-7 from the field in that span.
