More Than 60 Titans Honored By HL For Academic Success

The Horizon League has honored 715 student-athletes – including a total of 62 individuals representing UDM – as members of the League's 2009 Fall Academic Honor Roll. 

A sport-by-sport breakdown features 99 student-athletes competing in women’s track and field/cross country along with 86 in women’s soccer and 69 from men’s track and field/cross country. Other top sports include men’s soccer with 66, women’s swimming and diving with 54, volleyball with 52, softball with 48 and baseball with 41. 
 
Candidates for the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participation in at least one of the League’s 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season; 2) completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3) a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) as of Dec. 31, 2009.
