Head coach
Ray McCallum directed the best turnaround in school history and, for that, the second-year Titan leader was named the Horizon League Coach of the Year by CollegeInsider.com.
McCallum led the Titans to a 20-14 record and a semi-finals appearance in the conference tournament. The 20 victories marked a 13-win improvement from his first season and was Detroit's first 20-win campaign since 2001.
The run to the HL semi-finals was the deepest the Titans have been in the league championship since making the finals in 2005.
The Titans also raised their scoring average by more than 13 points per game from last season and led the Horizon League in field goal percentage defense, three-point field goal percentage defense, rebounding margin and blocked shots.
