Seniors Brigid Mulroy (West Bloomfield, MI/Marian) and Thomas Kennedy (Detroit, MI/Southeastern) represented UDM on Saturday night in Michigan's Slam Dunk Championship and 3-Point Shootout at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The participants were nominated by their coaches and included players from both the college as well as high school ranks. The evening included three-point shooting contests for both men and women as well as a slam dunk championship, in which Kennedy tied for fourth place with a two-dunk tally of 76 points.
The women's long range shooting contest concluded a long day for Mulroy, who played two softball games for the Titans at Buysse Ballpark on Saturday afternoon before rushing to the Palace with barely enough time to change uniforms.
Mulroy – who won the 22nd Annual State Farm College Three-Point Championship on the eve of the recent Final Four in Indianapolis – took third place in Saturday's shooting contest with 13 points.
