Recap Of Last Year's Event
The highly acclaimed Detroit Titans coaches clinic is back for the third straight year as the UDM men's basketball program will host this year's event on Saturday, Sept. 25. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the clinic starting promptly at 8:30 a.m.
The event is once again open to both male and female coaches at all levels (middle school, high school, AAU, college etc.) and will be held on campus at Calihan Hall.
Another great line-up of presenters will be on hand for those in attendance as the clinic is a great way for coaches at all levels to expand their knowledge of basketball with the help of some of today's best and brightest coaches. The day will include on the court demonstrations, featuring collegiate players, and teachings by Titan head coach
Ray McCallum, ESPN Analyst and former Division I head coach
Fran Fraschilla, current Detroit Pistons head coach
John Kuester and assistant coach
Pat Sullivan, Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach
Kelvin Sampson and Miami University (Ohio) head coach
Charlie Coles.
Each speaker will focus on a certain aspect of the game as they discuss topics such as skill development, motion offense, special situations and building team identity.
The cost is $25 per coach during the early registration period, with the cost moving to $35 to register on the day of the clinic. For programs wishing to bring their entire staff, a special $50 rate per staff will be given for early registration with a charge of $75 on clinic day.
