Titans senior golfer Jeff Clarridge (Barrie, ON/Bear Creek) is in second place, just one shot out of the lead, after the first two rounds of play at the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship.
Clarridge strung together rounds of 68 and 70 to stand six-under-par and enter the weekend's final two rounds hot on the heels of N.C. State's Albin Choi (69-68-137). A trio of college golf standouts – Marc-Etienne Bussieres (South Alabama), Eugene Wong (Oregon) and Lion Kim (Michigan) – are tied for third place, one stroke behind Clarridge.
A second Titan, All-Horizon League senior Britt Pronk (London, ON/St. Thomas Aquinas), is squarely in the chase at even par after two rounds. Pronk has posted a 70-74-144 card to tie for 20th place.
With the original field cut to the top 70 golfers and ties, the third round will be played Saturday and the final 18 holes Sunday at the London Hunt and Country Club, Pronk's home course. Follow the two Titans with live scoring provided by the RCGA.
