ON TAP
The Detroit Titans remain in the Windy City to face UIC on Saturday. The Flames are the lone team in the Horizon League without a win in conference play, falling to 0-4 with their home loss to Wright State Thursday. UDM, meanwhile, grabbed a road win at Loyola to up its record to 3-1 in league play.
ABOUT UIC
UIC is 5-11 overall this season and is still winless in league play. Senior guard Robo Kreps leads the team with his 15.6 points per game average while Paul Carter adds 14.6 per night. Kreps stays on the floor-- his 37.5 minutes per game easily lead the Horizon League.
WHO'S NEXT?
A big week is on deck for Detroit following the Chicago trip. It's Homecoming week on UDM's campus as the Titans welcome Butler on Friday night in a televised affair (ESPNU) followed by the Homecoming game with Valparaiso on Sunday (FOX Sports Detroit).
REBOUND MACHINE
How dominant has
Eli Holman been on the glass this season?
*He has 12 double-digit rebound games-- the next highest total in the league is 5 (Paul Carter- UIC, Matt Howard- Butler).
*He has at least 10 boards in all four league games.
*His 13.5 rpg average in league games is 5.2 better than the No. 2 rebounder (Paul Carter).
*In league play, his lowest rebound total is 12 (vs. Wright State- Dec. 4). That number would still qualify for most rebounds in a league game if not for his 15, 14 and 13-rebound efforts in his three other HL contests.
AMONG THE NATIONAL LEADERS
Several Titans have their names appear among the NCAA Division I leaders in the Jan. 3 report. As the time of the release, junior
Eli Holman had seven double-doubles, which ranked 15th through games of Jan. 3. He also was 7th in rebounds per game (11.1).
LaMarcus Lowe was 17th in the NCAA with his 2.6 blocks per game clip.
NCAA's TOP FRESHMEN
Ray McCallum is among the best rookies in all of NCAA Division I, scoring 15.8 points per game through his first 16 games. That total is 4th among freshmen in the country through Jan. 6. McCallum is one of only six freshmen to average at least 15.0 points per game this season.

Usually known for its defense, Detroit has done nicely on the offensive side of things this year to the tune of 74.8 points per game. That total is tops in the HL and UDM's 45.7 field goal percentage ranks second among league schools.
MINI- WRATH
Junior
