DETROIT-- The University of Detroit Mercy finalized its 2011-12 television schedule with the addition of four FOX Sports Detroit broadcasts Monday. Those games bring the total number of regional and national televised appearances to a dozen, including a minimum of seven on the ESPN family of networks and one Horizon League "Game of the Week" on WADL-38.
The four-game slate begins Dec. 17 when the Southeastern Conference's (SEC) Mississippi State Bulldogs invade Calihan Hall for a noon tip. More than a month later, the Titans face a noon match-up with rival Wright State on Jan. 21.
The lone road contest in the FOX Sports Detroit lineup is a Feb. 2 battle at Valparaiso at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. The final game of the package is a Feb. 12 tilt vs. Green Bay at 1:00 p.m. at Calihan Hall.
In addition, 15 other games will be streamed live via the Horizon League Network, now in its seventh season as a free content provider for league schools. All told, there are just four games on Detroit's 31-game regular season schedule that are not televised or available on the HLN.
