KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Detroit Titans took on the Broncos of Western Michigan in Kalamazoo this evening.

The Titans started the night continuing to play well in doubles as the No. 1 pairing of junior Amanda Cornwell (Waterford, MI/Kettering ) and sophomore Carolina Salas Espinosa (Monterrey, Mexico/Preparatoria No. 7 took an 8-1 victory.

After a Bronco win in the second doubles match, the deciding point was won by Detroit on the strength of the No. 3 Titan pair featuring freshmen Elena Strakhova (Penza, Russia/#216 "Didakt") and Raina Halabi (Beamsville, ON/Niagara Academy of Tennis) who won their match 9-8, 10-8 in the tiebreaker.
