FInal Match Results

MEMPHIS –Sophomore Carolina Salas Espinosa (Monterrey, Mexico/Preparatoria No. 7) won her match at No. 1 singles Friday against Illinois State but Detroit fell by a 6-1 score at the Racquet Club of Memphis.

Espinosa fell 6-2 in the opening set but she fought back to win 6-1 and 10-7 for her second singles victory in her last four match-ups. 

In doubles, the Titans fell 8-5 at No. 1, 8-5 at No. 2, and 8-4 at No. 3.

Detroit now sits at 0-10 on the dual season and will play one more match against host Memphis Saturday morning scheduled for 8:30 a.m., before returning home.
