Harris Tabbed MAAC Co-Offensive Player Of The Week

MAAC Weekly Release

EDISON, NJ -- Following his second career hat trick and the golden goal in the overtime victory against Canisius, junior Scott Harris (Saline, MI/Saline) was named the MAAC's Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Connor Rice of Marist was also named the POW along with Harris.

It is the second time this season that he has earned a weekly conference award as he was selected the Offensive Player of the Week on Mar. 14.

Harris led the Titan offense with three goals in the 10-9 win against the Golden Griffins, but his last marker was the most important as he beat the Canisius goalie with 1:45 left in overtime to lift the red, white and blue to victory. The triumph moved the Titans to 4-1 in the MAAC and clinched a playoff berth into the conference tournament.

On the season, the third-year attackman leads the squad with 17 assists – which is also tied for second in the MAAC - and is third in goals (16) and second in points (33).

Detroit will be idle this week and will return to action next Saturday, Apr. 30, as the Titans travel to New York to face Marist.
