DETROIT-- FOX Sports Detroit's monthly in-season television show "Detroit Titan Court Report" has been nominated for a Michigan Emmy, announced recently.  The 30-minute program, which follows the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team, is in its first year of production and featured five episodes of in-depth Titan coverage.

The nomination is one of FOX Sports Detroit's 30 Emmy nominations among 20 categories as announced by the Michigan chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  The winners are unveiled May 14 at the 33rd Annual Michigan Emmy Awards Ceremony.

FOX Sports Detroit has captured 72 Emmys since 2000 and 27 in the past two years.  Alex Wright, Chad Schwartzenberger and Chris Wasielewski are all noted for their work on the program.

The nominated episode followed the team to Syracuse University for an early-season trip.  Included in the episode is an inside look at junior big man Eli Holman.  Click here to see that segment.
