DETROIT--  Junior center Eli Holman was named to the 2010-11 Jesuit Basketball Spotlight National All-Jesuit Honorable Mention Team announced Friday.  Holman was part of 18 players honored among the all-Jesuit and honorable mention nods throughout the 28 Jesuit colleges spread across the United States that play basketball on all three levels of the NCAA and also in the NAIA.

The accolade is another in an impressive list of awards for the senior-to-be.  Holman led the Horizon League in both defensive and offensive rebounds in 2010-11 and was the fourth-leading shot-blocker in the conference.  

The 6-foot-10 post racked-up a league-high 13 double-doubles, was on the All-Defensive Team for the second straight year and was a Second Team All-Horizon League selection.  He was the Legends Classic MVP during the Thanksgiving tournament held at Calihan Hall.  He picked-up the National Jesuit Player of the Week for his performance at that tourney.

For the season, Holman averaged 11.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.  He set the pace for the team with a 60.7 field goal percentage and added 51 blocks for the Titans.

Holman returns next season, along with a Titan roster that did not have a graduating senior in what promises to be a highly-anticipated 2011-12 campaign.
