DETROIT -- The Detroit Titans Sports Medicine department recently welcomed a new face as Michigan native
Lainie Bisbee was named the new Assistant Director of Sports Medicine.
“I have known Lainie for a few years since her time at Ball State and she came very highly recommended,” said Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine
Michael Miller. “With her past experiences and her knowledge, she is a great fit for the sports medicine and the Titan athletic department.”
Bisbee joins the Titans after spending the last two seasons as an assistant athletic trainer at nearby Oakland University. With the Golden Grizzlies, Bisbee worked with the women's soccer, softball and men's and women's indoor track and field teams.
Prior to Oakland, Bisbee was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Ball State, where she worked with the women's field hockey and men's and women's swimming and diving programs, as well as assisting with football and tennis. Bisbee also interned at Disney's Wide World of Sports and worked as an athletic training student at Calvin College and Grand Valley State University.
In addition to being certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification, she is a member of the Michigan Athletic Trainers' Society, The Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
Originally from Holly, MI, Bisbee graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training and earned her Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Ball State in 2009.
