PONTIAC, Mich. -- Incoming freshman
Shareta Brown (Grand Blanc, MI/Grand Blanc) might be on campus getting ready for her first collegiate season, but she had one more game to play in her prep career as she put together a strong performance at the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan's 32nd annual All-Star Basketball Festival.
The event brought the top senior boy's and girl's players to the Palace of Auburn Hills last weekend to play in four all-star games. There was also a three-point shooting contest as well as a slam dunk competition,
Brown took part in the A/B all-star game suiting up for the black team. The promising Titan post player ended up leading her squad with 15 points in six rebounds in a 79-64 setback.
As a senior, Brown helped lead the Grand Blanc Bobcats to a 19-4 record as well as a KLAA Lakes Conference championship and a Co-KLAA West Division title. In her high school career, she was selected as one of the top 100 players in Michigan by Mick McCabe of the Detroit Free Press as well as one of the top 20 recruits in the state by Mid-Michigan Prep News and Michigan LadyBallers.com.
