DAVIDSON N.C. – The Detroit Titan men's soccer team was defeated by Appalachian State on Sunday afternoon by the final score of 2-0. The Mountaineers scored in the 72nd minute to break the tie and they added their second goal with less than a minute to play.
Costin Gregory scored his first goal of the season to give Appalachian State a 1-0 lead in the second half. Nicholas Skoda recorded an assist on the play. Sean Dreybus put the game away with a late breakaway goal off an assist from Sekani Sinclair.

Ya Ya Toure all recorded one shot on goal for Detroit. The Titans ended the game with 11 total shots.
Anthony Shepherd was the goalkeeper for Detroit on Sunday. He ended the game with five saves.
The Titans ended the Adidas Classic with a 1-1 record after they defeated Davidson on Friday night 2-1. They are currently 3-2 overall.
UDM will return to action by hosting Michigan for a midweek matchup on Wednesday, September 14. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
