GREEN BAY, Wis.--  A late Detroit run propelled the Titans to an 80-73 win over host Green Bay at Resch Center Thursday evening in Horizon League action.  Tied at 66-apiece, Detroit went on a 14-7 run over the final three-and-a-half minutes.

The game featured a dozen lead changes and eight more tie scores in a game that neither squad led by more than seven until the final seconds.  The lead rested in Detroit's (9-10, 3-4 HL) hands for good when Jason Calliste sprung free for a triple, then LaMarcus Lowe knocked down two free throws as UDM grabbed a five-point cushion with 2:30 to play.

Ray McCallum knocked a ball free for a steal and converted on the other end for seven straight Detroit points, part of the 14-7 run that ended the contest.

Lowe had a solid night, especially to start each half.  He got the game underway with six quick points on a jumper, a putback and two free throws as both offenses were clicking early.  The score was already 13-11 Detroit before the first media stoppage.  Coming out of the timeout, Green Bay (6-10, 2-4) took its first lead but quickly gave it back on a Doug Anderson jumper.

Sophomore seven-footer Alec Brown hit a hook, part of his game-high 17 points as the Phoenix mounted its biggest lead at 34-27 with 5:30 remaining in the first half.  With the score 36-30, Detroit allowed just one field goal over the final four minutes to regain the lead 40-38 at the break.

In the first 20 minutes, Detroit outrebounded Green Bay, 22-12 with 11 of those Titan boards coming on the offensive end.

Lowe scored the first three points of the second half as Detroit went on a 7-2 spurt coming out of the break to gain a seven-point cushion.  The home team rallied, however, eventually retaking the lead at 53-52.  The advantage went back and forth until a fastbreak dunk by Chase Simon and a pair of free throw makes from Doug Anderson and Lowe put the score at 66-all with 4:08 showing.

Seven straight points followed for Detroit and an exclamation dunk by Anderson in the final minute put the finishing touches on the road win.

Four Titans were in double figures scoring, led by 16 from McCallum.  Calliste chipped-in 14 with Lowe adding 13 and Eli Holman produced 11.   Holman also added nine rebounds in just 21 minutes of work.  Anderson finished the night with nine points, six rebounds and four steals.

Detroit remains in Wisconsin, heading south to Milwaukee for a Saturday night tilt.  Game time with the league co-leaders is set for 8:00 p.m. Eastern on the Horizon League Network.
