This will be the seventh-straight year that the two programs have matched up since renewing their rivalry in 2006. THE DETROIT-EASTERN MICHIGAN SERIES
The Titans have won two in a row and three out of the last four to take a 13-8 lead in the series. Last season, Detroit defeated Eastern Michigan at home in overtime, 70-69, and that was after a 62-60 victory in Ypsilanti in 2010. In that game, EMU actually led by 12, 57-45, with six minutes left when the Titans stunned the Eagles by going on a 17-3 run to end the game.
The UDM-EMU series dates back to the 1978-79 season, the second year of Titan basketball, and Detroit was dominant early on winning the first nine meetings until the Eagles ended that streak in 1989.
Detroit is 6-4 on the road in the series.
ABOUT EMU
Eastern Michigan has split its first two games at home, defeating Northeastern, 50-47, before falling to Michigan State, 60-49, on Thursday. The Eagles were actually tied with the Spartans at the half, but MSU hit a three to start the second period and never trailed after that.
Miranda Tate leads the team in scoring early on at 20.5 ppg., which includes 23 in the season opener. India Hairston tops the team in rebounding at 8.0 per night to go along with 6.5 ppg., while Desyree Thomas runs the offense with 5.5 assists per game.

CLIPPING THE EAGLES
Detroit has won three of the last four meetings - all under head coach Autumn Rademacher - but it hasn't been that easy as the Titans have posted two overtimes victories and a two-point regular season triumph.
UDM won in overtime last season, 70-69, at home and 76-75 on the road in double overtime in 2008. The other Titan win in 2010 saw UDM outscore EMU, 17-3, in the final 6:05 to erase a 12-point deficit and earn a 62-60 road win.
AGAINST THE MAC
The Titans are 73-62 all-time against current teams from the Mid-American Conference.
Since head coach Autumn Rademacher took over the reins as the Titan leader in 2008, Detroit is 7-6 against the league – and 6-3 in its last nine games.
On the year, Detroit will also play Ball State, Ohio and Western Michigan from the MAC.
SUCCESS IN THE GREAT LAKES STATE
The Titans posted their 100th career victory against teams from Michigan with a 70-69 win against Eastern Michigan last season and now have 101 career victories over teams from the Great Lakes State.
Overall, UDM is 101-64 against its' stately foes, and 7-4 since that start of the 2010-11 season with the only losses coming to Michigan (2x) and Michigan State (2x).
BROWN BACK TO BUSINESS
Sophomore
Shareta Brown recorded her first 20-point game of the season and the 15th of her career with 24 points in the victory over Canisius.
After shooting 6-of-16 in the opener, Brown - who was fifth last year in the NCAA with a 55.9 field-goal percentage - made 10-of-14 from the field against the Golden Griffins, while also handing out five assists.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOME & AWAY
While Detroit is 9-2 at home against non-conference foes in its last 11 games, UDM is 5-16 on the road against non-league opponents since 2008.
DOMINATING THE BOARDS ALREADY
Through two games, the Titans have owned the glass to the tune of a +9.5 margin.
UDM outrebounded Michigan, 36-33, and then completely owned the glass in the Canisius contest outrebounding the Golden Griffins, 44-28.
Last season, Detroit won the battle of the boards in 23 of its 34 games, including 11 times by a double-digit margin.
Detroit is now 8-4 in its last 12 games when it has won the glass by a double-digit margin.
BACK TO HER GAME
After coming off the bench for most of last season - and making the most of it by earning the HL Sixth Player of the Year - senior
Yar Shayok has transitioned back to the starting line-up in great form.
She is currently leading the team in rebounding (10.5) and is coming off a 14-rebound effort against Canisius. The 14 caroms marked the 38th time in her career that she has pulled down at least 10 boards in a game.
REYNOLDS ON THE MARK
Freshman
Rosanna Reynolds struggled from the field at Michigan going 1-of-11, but the rookie came back to hit 5-of-8 to finish with 15 points and seven rebounds against Canisius.
THIS HOOSIER CAN SHOOT
Sophomore
Audrey Matteson was raining three's all around the Crisler Center as the second-year guard scored a career-high 12 points in the season opener and came back with 12 in the win over Canisius.
The Monticello, Indiana, native ended the contest at Michigan with a career-best four treys, and with a pair against the Golden Griffins, she now has six trifecta's on the season compared to five all of last season.
That isn't all she has done as she pulled down a career-high nine boards against the Wolverines and handed out a personal-best five assists versus Canisius.
On the season, she is averaging 12.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
