DETROIT (11/7/2012) -- Coming to Tuesday's women's basketball game against Canisius? Well make sure to bring some canned goods as UDM is partnering with the Student Government Association, Institute for Leadership and Service, the University's Campus Kitchen, Residence Life and University Ministry to take part in the Annual National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week!
During the Canisius game on Tuesday, November 13, fans who bring in canned goods
WILL RECEIVE COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSION to the game against the Golden Griffins at 7:00 p.m., inside historic Calihan Hall.
The canned goods will then be donated to Campus Kitchen at UDM, a student run program that is part of the National Campus Kitchens Project. Campus Kitchen's objective is to provide nourishing meals to families in need.
With the holidays quickly approaching, the Titan women's basketball team wants to make sure that as many families will be able to have food on their tables as possible. Why not give back to the local community by coming down, donating some canned goods and rooting for the red, white and blue?! This is a great opportunity to help make a difference in someone else's life.
