DETROIT -- The Titans will open a three-game road swing with a nationally ranked team as Detroit is set to battle No. 9 Green Bay on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m., at the Kress Events Center.

Fans can follow all the action for free via live stats or by following the Titans on Twitter. A live web stream of the event is also available on the Horizon League Network.

The Titans have won three in a row and come into the match-up at 12-11, 8-3 in the Horizon League. UDM currently sits in a tie for second place in the conference, but has the edge over Wright State with a victory over the Raiders a few weeks ago.

Sophomore Senee Shearer tallied her fifth 20-point game of the season with a game-high 22 points against UIC as Detroit came back from a seven-point halftime deficit to down the Flames in overtime, 62-57. Freshman Shareta Brown was in double figures for the 19th time this year with 16 points, while the defense held the Chicago school to just 9-of-28 from the field in the last 25 minutes of the game.

Green Bay is ranked No. 9 in both polls and is one of only two teams that are still undefeated (Baylor, 24-0). The Phoenix is 20-0 on the year and 10-0 in conference play. Green Bay has posted a double-digit victory in nine of its first 10 league games, with the lone exception the nine-point 68-59 win at Detroit back on Jan. 14.

THE DETROIT-GREEN BAY SERIES
The Titans have struggled with Green Bay and trail the overall series, 35-6.

Detroit won four of the first five meetings in the series, which dates back to 1995, but Green Bay has owned the series from there on winning 34 of the last 36 since 1998.

Detroit is also 1-18 all-time in road games against Green Bay with the lone win coming on Mar. 9, 1997, when a Titan team led by guard Autumn Rademacher defeated the Phoenix, 63-55, in the Horizon League Championship to advance to the NCAA Tournament.

ABOUT THE PHOENIX
Green Bay is still unbeaten as it enters the game at 20-0, 10-0 in the Horizon League. Green Bay is ranked ninth in both polls and is one of only two teams in the nation undefeated joining Baylor (24-0). The Phoenix has also won 40-straight regular season games.

Green Bay leads the league in a number of categories including scoring (75.1), points allowed (53.4), field-goal percentage (45.8%) and steals (13.0).  Senior Julie Wojta tops the HL in scoring at 19.7 ppg., and is third in rebounding corralling 9.6 per night.

LAST HL LOSS FOR GREEN BAY?
Green Bay is undefeated at 20-0 on the year after going 34-2 last season with a perfect 18-0 HL record. Green Bay has won 40-straight regular season games and 36-straight regular season Horizon League contests.

In fact, the last regular season HL loss for Green Bay came in Calihan Hall during the 2009-10 season as the Titans downed the Phoenix, 71-55, on Feb. 4, 2010.

Green Bay did also lose in the HL semifinals that year to Cleveland State, but counting HL tournament victories, it has posted a 40-1 mark against HL opponents in its last 41 games.

AGAINST RANKED TEAMS
Detroit has played nine ranked teams since Autumn Rademacher returned to her alma mater as head coach in 2008 and has recorded a pair of wins.

During the 2008-09 season, Detroit took down No. 23 Georgia at home, 70-66, while during the 2009-10 season, UDM beat No. 22 Green Bay, 71-55, also in Calihan Hall.

UDM is 4-44 all-time against ranked teams in its history with all four wins coming in the Motor City.

Besides the before mentioned victories over Green Bay and Georgia, the Titans defeated No. 3 Kansas on Feb. 14, 1981, and No. 9 North Carolina State, 60-59, on Dec. 5, 1981.

FAMILIAR FOE
UDM head coach Autumn Rademacher is no stranger to Green Bay as she was an assistant coach for the Phoenix from 2004-08, with the last season working with current Phoenix coach Matt Bollant.

During her tenure, Green Bay won four conference regular-season championships, as well as two post-season titles (2005 and '07).

PUTTING THE “D” IN DETROIT
The Detroit Titans have displayed some tough, aggressive defense in their last three games, holding each opponent to under each average scoring for the year as Cleveland State had 43, Loyola 59 and UIC 57.

UDM held the Vikings to just 25% shooting (13-of-52), including 20.8% in the first half (5-of-24) as well as just a 3-of-18 effort from three-point range.

The 13 field goals were the fewest by a Titan opponent since Marygrove had 11 in a 68-27 win last season.

The 43 points were also the fewest points allowed against a Division I school since a 52-43 triumph over Youngstown State last year.

The Titans then came back to hold Loyola - the second highest scoring team in the HL - to 59 points, including 22 in the first half. In the opening stanza, UDM held Loyola to just 7-of-31 shooting (22.6%) and outrebounded the Ramblers, 28-12.

Against UIC, Detroit saw the Flames shoot 50% in the first half, but then just 9-of-28 (32.1%) the rest of the way to overcome a seven-point halftime deficit. UIC's 17-second half points marked the fourth time this season an opponent has scored less than 20 points in a half, and the third time it has been 17 points.

MORE ABOUT THE D
After seeing Youngstown State nail 15 3-pointers in just 25 attempts (60.0%), the Titans have seen their last three opponents shoot 13-of-47 (27.6%) from beyond the arc.

Detroit is currently fourth in the HL in three-point field goal defense (31.2%).

CAN'T SPELL SENEE WITHOUT SOME 3'S
Detroit sophomore Senee Shearer is certainly earning the reputation as a sharpshooter.
On the year, 46 of her 80 field goals have been 3-pointers, including 13 of her last 16 baskets, in the last four games.

She has 11 games on the year with three or more treys, with her season high of five against Michigan and UIC.

Her 46 3-pointers are tied for the third most in the Horizon League, and she is now averaging 10.5 points per game, second on the team.

LET'S PLAY MORE
Detroit is now 2-0 in overtime games on the season with its 62-57 triumph over UIC.

The Titans also defeated Eastern Michigan, 70-69, at home back in December.

BROWN LEADING THE HL, TOP 10 IN THE NATION
In the latest NCAA stats, released on Monday, Feb. 6, freshman Shareta Brown is currently leading the Horizon League and is eighth in the nation in field-goal percentage (55.4%).

She is also eighth in the HL and 75th in the country with 8.8 rebounds per game, while standing sixth in the league in scoring (16.0).

JONES MARCHING HER WAY TO THE TOP
Senior Jalesa Jones began the season in seventh place on the Titan all-time assists list, but she has climbed all the way to second place and is now just 18 away from the record.
She currently has 468 assists - passing the likes of current head coach Autumn Rademacher (439) and Jocelyn Boyd (451).

Jones now trails only Mary Lillie who posted 486 during her career (1978-82).

As a freshman, Jones had 84 assists, while collecting 159 as a sophomore and 112 last year. She has already posted 113 this year.

For her career, she is tallying 4.1 apg.

SENEE SIZZLING
Sophomore Senee Shearer has found that comfort zone in her second year.

After getting off to a slow start, the second-year guard has transformed into one of the best scorers in the HL and has been one of the main catalysts in the Titans recent strong play.

She has 12 double-digit scoring games and five 20-point games this season, including a four-game stretch where she set or tied her career highs with 15 against Michigan and 23 in back-to-back games versus IPFW and Eastern Michigan before establishing a new career high with 24 at Western Michigan. She is coming off a 22-point effort against UIC.
Prior to this recent streak, Shearer's only career double-digit game was a 13-point performance at IPFW last season.

She is currently second on the team in scoring at 10.5 points per game, and is averaging 14.9 ppg., in the last 14 games.

She is shooting 36.2% from the field and 83.3% from the free throw line, and has a team-best 46 3-pointers, more than twice then the next Titan on the year (Chanahl Putnam - 20).

GETTING TO THE LINE
Detroit's strong post game and aggressiveness has the Titans currently leading the Horizon League in free throw attempts with 433 on the season.

Detroit also leads the league with 305 made free throws, good for a 70.4% clip and fourth in the Horizon League.

HOLDING THE LEAD
Detroit is 10-1 on the season when it is leading with 10 minutes left in the game and 11-0 when ahead with five minutes remaining.

The lone loss that UDM has endured when up with 10 minutes left was a 66-59 setback at UIC.
