DETROIT -- It has been a tale of two seasons for the Detroit women's lacrosse team and now the Titans will look for their first-ever conference championship when they head to Davidson, NC, for the National Lacrosse Conference Tournament.

The three day tournament will start on Friday and end with the championship game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The Titans are seeded third in the tournament and will open up the postseason against No. 6 Liberty on Friday at 7:00 p.m. A win would move Detroit to the semifinals, where they would face the winner of the No. 2 Jacksonville-No. 7 Presbyterian match-up on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. A loss would put the Titans in the consolation bracket where they would face the loser of that game at 4:00 p.m.

A win would also establish a new program record for wins in a season as Detroit is 7-8 on the year and 5-2 in the NLC. After starting the season at 1-7, UDM has won six of its last seven games dating back to Mar. 31.

Detroit is 2-1 all-time against Liberty after downing the Flames, 19-5, in the Motor City this year. UDM also won 19-5 at home in 2010, while the Flames took a 15-10 decision last year in Virginia.

Fans can follow the Titans in the tournament with live stats or by purchasing a live webcast for a small fee. Both of those links are located on top of the page.

LAST TIME VS. LIBERTY
The Titan offense poured in 11-straight goals to start the game cruising to a 19-5 victory over Liberty.

Senior Anna Eidem led the way with a game-high eight goals and nine points. Senior Emily Boissonneault netted six goals and added an assist, while senior Corina Mahorn posted three goals and an assist.

The red, white and blue put the game away quickly after that as the Titans took an 11-1 lead at the break. It was more of the same in the second half as the Titan offense kept the foot on the pedal with eight more goals. Detroit had its largest lead with six minutes left as they were up by 15, 18-3.

The Titans finished with 34 shots on the day compared to 16 for Liberty while draw controls were also in Detroit's favor, 16-10.

CAREER IN THE NLC TOURNAMENT
The Titans are 2-5 all-time in the NLC Tournament with both of their wins coming against Presbyterian.

Last season, UDM lost both of its games falling to Longwood in the first round and Presbyterian in the consolation bracket.

In 2009 and 2010, Detroit won its opening round game before falling in the semifinals – both times to Longwood.

Detroit also lost to Jacksonville in the third-place game in 2010.

THE GOOD, BAD AND UGLY
The Titans season can be characterized by the famous Clint Eastwood movie “The Good, the Bad & the Ugly”. UDM had some ugly games to start the year falling to Florida, 22-3, Jacksonville, 20-5, and Duquesne, 18-6. The bad start saw Detroit at 1-7, but then the good took over as the Titans have won six of their last seven games.

In its first eight games, Detroit scored 74 goals (9.2) and gave up 137 (17.1), but in the last seven games, UDM has totaled 115 goals (16.4) and given up 86 (12.2).

ALL OVER THE MAP
Detroit might be the only Division I program in the state of Michigan, but their recruiting has stretched from Canada to California and down to Florida.

Detroit has three players on its roster from Michigan. Four hail from Canada and California, while a pair are from the Sunshine State. UDM also has players from Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio and Oregon.

BOISSONNEAULT TOP 15 ALL-TIME IN TWO STATS
Senior Emily Boissonneault has 237 goals and 152 caused turnovers in her career. She is 13th all-time in goals and eighth in caused turnovers.

Boissonneault is just five away from 12th and Lehigh's Jill Altshuler's (1993-96) 242. Shari Krasnoo of Colgate (1988-91) is 11th with 245, while Kristen Kjellman of Northwestern (2004-07) and Syracuse's Christina Dove (2007-10) are 10th at 250.

Next up on the list for her to pass in caused turnovers is Kate Fontana of Albany (2004-07) at 157, while Jackie Doherty (Notre Dame 2008-11) is sixth with 177.

EIDEM NEARING 200 GOALS
Senior Anna Eidem already has a career–high 62 goals and 72 points. She is just five goals behind senior teammate Emily Boissonneault for the most in school history (68 in 2010) and just 11 points in back of Boissonneault's 83 points for the school record – also in 2010.

Eidem is already the Titans all-time leader in assists with 33 and draw controls (156). She is also chasing the school's single-season draw controls mark as her 44 this season are two behind her total last season and four away from Corina Mahorn's 48 in 2010.

KEULER THE NEW SINGLE-SEASON ASSIST LEADER
Freshman Tessa Keuler recorded a Titan game-record five assists against Howard on Apr. 27 and now has 16 on the year, establishing a new program record.

Z CROSSES HER CAREER MARK
Junior Zaynib Hamze has posted a career-best 17 goals and 25 points on the season, moving past her 16 goals and eight assists she registered as a freshman.

MAHORN HAS 20 AGAIN
Senior Corina Mahorn has 20 goals for the fourth time in her career. She has accumulated 22 goals and nine assists on the season and is just three markers away from her second highest total on the collegiate level. Her career high is 38 set as a sophomore.

MCCORMICK STEADY IN NET
Freshman Lexie McCormick has rebounded from a slow start to the season and has posted 131 saves on the year. She has eight games on the season with double-digit saves, including a season-high 14 her last time out against Cincinnati.

HIGH SCORING DUO
Senior Eidem leads the team and the NLC with 62 goals – 10th in the nation. She is also the team leader and second in the conference with 72 points. Senior Emily Boissonneault is second on the team and in the NLC with 49 goals, good for 28th in the country. In fact, the upperclass tandem of Boissonneault and Eidem is the fourth highest goal-scoring duo in the country.

THREE HAVE PLAYED THEM ALL
The Titans have their first four-year senior class in Emily Boissonneault, Anna Eidem, Corina Mahorn and Alycsa Valentine. Boissonneault, Eidem and Mahorn have not only played in all 67 games in Titan history, but they have started them all, while Valentine has seen action in 40 games.
