DETROIT -- Basketball was alive and well inside Calihan Hall on Dick Vitale Court as more than 70 of the top players in the Midwest attended the Titan Elite Camp on Wednesday.
The Detroit Titans Elite Camp was designed for top players to spend a day with UDM head coach
Ray McCallum, his staff and players, and see what Detroit Titans Basketball is all about.
“It is always great to see all the young talent in the area on campus, displaying their skills,” said Coach McCallum. “It is a great opportunity for all the players to showcase their skills as well as improve their game through the coaching they receive. They also get lesson on the compliance issues as they go through their recruiting.”
The camp featured players from not only the state of Michigan, but also Illinois, Indiana and Ohio as well as Canada.
All the players were put through various positional drills before 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 games. Team scrimmages with live referees were also on the agenda as the players looked to show what they have learned.
In the final hour, the players had a chance to put on a show with a slam dunk and 3-point competition before the academic and compliance session ended the day.
The Titans would like to thank each of the campers who attended the event.
Up next in the camp season are the sold out Team Shootout Camps, scheduled for June 18 and 20.
