2012 Legends & Traditions (PDF)

DETROIT (9/4/12) -- The Detroit Titans men's basketball team will host a weekend of alumni events you will not want to miss as the Titans Legends & Traditions Weekend will take place on September 21-22 at Calihan Hall. The event will feature many former student-athletes dating back to the 1950's.

One of the former Titans that will be in attendance will be Los Angeles Clippers guard Willie Green '03. Green who has averaged 9.1 points per game in nine NBA seasons with Philadelphia, New Orleans and Atlanta, was the 2003 Horizon League Player of the Year while at UDM. Green also helped lead the Titans to an NCAA tournament berth and two NIT tournaments including a NIT Final Four appearance in 2001.

Green has played in 552 games in his NBA career, including 74 starts during the 2007-08 season in which he averaged 12.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game for Philadelphia.

The Titan tradition includes 104 seasons of basketball with 1,326 wins, 21 NBA/ABA draft picks, 17 All-American selections, 12 post-season appearances, three Horizon League Tournament Championships and two Horizon League Regular Season titles. Each Titan contributed to these accomplishments and deserves to be celebrated.
