Detroit is 14-8 on the season and 7-3 in the Horizon League as the Titans have won two in a row and seven of the last eight. UDM begins the week tied for second in the conference and holding a two-game lead over Loyola in the standings, and could strengthen that advantage with a sweep of the season series after defeating the Ramblers, 77-66, back on Jan. 24.
UDM was last in action a week ago when the red, white and blue downed Wright State, 73-66, thanks to a pair of double-doubles from sophomore
Shareta Brown (21 pts., 13 rebs.) and senior
Yar Shayok (18 pts., 13 rebs.), and a season-high 12 points from junior
Megan Hatter.
Loyola (10-13) has won three in a row and four of the last five to move into fourth place in the Horizon League with a 5-5 mark. Even the loss was impressive in this stretch as the Ramblers had first-place Green Bay on the ropes before falling 65-62 at home.
Simone Law returned to the line-up a few games ago after missing several games with an injury and still leads the team in scoring (15.3) and rebounding (8.8). Freshman Taylor Johnson is averaging 14.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists, while Monica Albano is tallying 13.9 ppg., and is tied for the HL lead with 69 three-pointers.
The Ramblers are fifth in the league in scoring at 64.8 ppg., while allowing 67.0 ppg., fourth in the HL. They also lead the conference with 10.1 steals per game and are second with a 1.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
The Titans will wrap up their Chicago trip on Saturday when they visit UIC in a game slated for an 8:00 p.m. (EST) tip.
THE DETROIT-LOYOLA SERIES
Detroit has owned the series against its Jesuit rival winning 11 of the last 12 and 15 of the last 20 to take a 47-20 advantage in the all-time series. UDM won the first match-up this year, 77-66, back on Jan. 24.
The Titans are 19-12 all-time in Chicago against the Ramblers and have come away with a win in their last four trips to Gentile Arena, last falling in the Windy City in 2008, 79-70.
THE LONGEST RUNNING RIVAL
This will be the 68th career meeting between Detroit and Loyola, the most out of any opponent in Titan history. Detroit and Loyola have met every year since 1983, when the red, white and blue fell to their Jesuit rival, 67-54, in Chicago.
HEY CUZ
Titan junior forward
Megan Hatter and Loyola sophomore forward Molly Crosby might know a thing or two about each other as they are cousins.

START THINKING ABOUT PLAYOFFS
Just six games remain in the Horizon League regular season and it is never too early to start looking at some playoff possibilities.
At the moment, Detroit is tied with Youngstown State for second place in the Horizon League at 7-3 with both trailing Green Bay at 11-0 in HL play. While catching the Phoenix is still in reach, UDM does have the upper hand in the battle for second place and the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Horizon League Championship.
The Titans control their own destiny for the No. 2 seed if they were to win out, which would mean beating YSU and ensuring that they would finish ahead of the Penguins.
At the moment though, the Titans will look to strengthen their position in the top three of the standings as a win over Loyola would put them up by three games over the Ramblers and Wright State, and give them a tiebreaker over both with only five games left in the season.
BROWN TOP 10 IN THE NATION
In the latest NCAA stats, released on Monday, sophomore
Shareta Brown continues to be among the nation's leaders in scoring and field-goal percentage.
Brown is currently ninth in the nation in scoring at 21.8 ppg., and sixth in field-goal percentage hitting 58.1%.
The only Titan to ever lead the nation in a statistical category was Brigid Mulroy back in 2010 as she was first in three-point field-goal percentage (50.5%).
Brown was fifth in the NCAA in field-goal percentage (55.9%) last season.

UDM has two players among the top 80 in rebounding as sophomore

NOW THAT'S RUNNING THE SHOW
Freshman
Rosanna Reynolds has 35 assists (7.0) in her last five games with a season-high nine against Cleveland State, eight against Valparaiso, six at Milwaukee, seven versus Wright State and five at Youngstown State.
Even more impressive is that she has the 35 assists against just nine turnovers.
On the season, she is second in the HL and 89th in the nation with 4.3 assists per game.
FAMBRO'S GOT GAME
Senior
Demeisha Fambro reached double figures for the 12th time this season and a career-best sixth-straight game with a team-high 16 points at Youngstown State on Feb. 7.
Earlier this year, she posted a season-high 20 points against UIC.
In her last eight games, she is tallying 13.3 ppg., and is averaging 10.7 points - second on the team and 20th in the HL - on the season.
She also has 91 career 3-pointers, 12 away from teammate
Senee Shearer and 10th place in school history.
SHEARER NOW TOP 10 IN 3'S
Junior
Senee Shearer has now recorded 103 career triples after hitting three against Wright State, good for 10th in school history.
Up next for her to pass is Tia Winters (1997-02) in ninth place with 107 and Catie Goddard (2002-06) who has 112 for eighth.
GETTING TO 70
The Titans are 38-6 when they score 70 or more - including 10-1 this year - and are also 12-1 (6-0 this season) when they score 80 or more - under head coach Autumn Rademacher.
#WHAT CAN BROWN DO 4 YOU
Sophomore
Shareta Brown's offensive game has her among the nation's leaders as she is currently ninth in the country in scoring (21.8) and sixth in field-goal percentage (58.1%).
Brown broke the Titan school record with 43 points in a game against Lourdes on Dec. 10, and added her fourth 30-point game of the season -and the sixth of her career - with 34 points at IPFW on Dec. 18.
Her six 30-point games are tied with Cassandra Pack (1983-87) for the most in school history in a career.
Her 43-point outburst is tied with IPFW's Amanda Hyde for the second highest in Division I this season.
INSTANT OFFENSE
Since coming off the bench against Cleveland State on Jan. 12, senior
Yar Shayok has been an offensive weapon with double-digit performances in six of nine games, three double-doubles and a season-high 22 points against CSU on Jan. 31.
She started her surge at Cleveland State with 15 points and 10 rebounds and came back at Wright State with 12 points, 11 boards and four assists. Her latest effort was 18 points and 13 caroms against Wright State her last time out.
Her 22-point effort against the Vikings saw her shoot 10-of-14 from the field with nine rebounds, four assists and four steals.
In the last nine games, she is averaging 10.8 ppg., 8.1 rpg., and shooting 50.0% (41-of-82).
ROSIE THE PLAYMAKER
Freshman
Rosanna Reynolds has taken over the point guard duties for Detroit and leads the team with 94 assists, with her 4.3 apg., third in the Horizon League.
She is also fifth in the HL with a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Reynolds has 15 games with four or more assists with a season high of nine against Cleveland State on Jan. 31.
She also collected her first career double-double with a career-best 17 points and 10 rebounds versus the Crusaders on Dec. 22.
In terms of scoring, Reynolds has seven double-digit efforts on the year - including a season-best 20 points at Wright State - and is fourth on the squad in scoring at 8.7 ppg.
SCORE, SCORE, SCORE
Detroit has scored 40 or more in the first half seven times this year, and 40 or more in either half on 14 occasions.
The 96 points versus Cleveland State on Jan. 31 was the most points scored by UDM in HL play since tallying 101 in a 116-101 setback at Butler on Jan. 30, 1999, and the most scored in a home conference game since defeating Wright State, 99-60, on Mar. 1, 1997, Coach Rademacher's senior season.
UDM also had 35 field goals in the contest against the Vikings, the sixth time this season it has tallied 30 or more in a game.
Detroit tops the HL in scoring (71.2) and is second in field-goal percentage (44.6%).
SHE SCORES, REBOUNDS & PASSES?
Shareta Brown faces her fair share of double and triple teams and the sign that she is a complete player are her passing skills.
She is coming off a game where she had 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists against Wright State, the fifth time this season and the eighth time in her career she has recorded five or more helpers in a game.
Her season high is six at Ohio earlier in the year, while her career high is eight at Wright State last season.
YAR ETCHES HER NAME IN SCHOOL RECORD BOOK
Senior
Yar Shayok is currently second in school history with 1,053 rebounds trailing only Titan Hall-of-Famer Cheryl Williams (1,368).
Shayok is now just the second Titan to post 1,000 points and rebounds in their career behind only Williams.
She is currently second on the team and fourth in the Horizon League in rebounding (9.1), which includes 10 double-digit efforts.
She grabbed a season-high 15 against Lourdes and also had 14 against Canisius.
The 13 caroms vs. Wright State her last time out marked the 47th time in her career that she has pulled down at least 10 boards in a game.
In her career, she is averaging 8.8 rebounds and has 47 games with double-digit rebounds, including 17 as a redshirt freshman and 16 as a sophomore. She pulled down 10.2 rpg., as a sophomore, a number that ranks fourth among the single-season records at UDM.
A LOT OF EXPERIENCE
Senior
Yar Shayok played in her 120th career game against Wright State her last time out and is now in fourth place in school history with 120 games played.
She currently trails Cheryl Williams by just one game for third, former teammate

Jalesa Jones by seven for the all-time record.
Meanwhile, senior

HOME WINNING STREAK AT 15
UDM is 9-0 at home this season - averaging 82.4 points per game - and has now won 15-straight games on Dick Vitale Court dating back to last year, a streak that is currently tied for the eighth longest in the nation.
The 15-game home winning streak is also the second longest in school history trailing the 17-game tally between 1985-86 and 1986-87 seasons.
It is also the fourth in school history of at least 14 games. The Titans won 14-straight at home between the 1979-80 and 1980-81 seasons and the 1980-81 and 1981-82 campaigns.
CHASING HISTORY, AND EACH OTHER
Senior

Meanwhile, Brown has 1,090 points for 16th place and is chasing both Shayok and Pasquinzo to move up even more.
