LAST TIME OUT
Detroit (16-8, 8-3 HL) won its fourth-straight game, third on the road, Thursday night with an 82-74 topping of Milwaukee at the Klotsche Center. The three straight wins on the road matches the longest since the 2012 Horizon League Championship. It is also the longest for the Titans during the regular season since 2009-10.

Junior guard Jason Calliste led Detroit with 22 points, including five three-pointers, while senior forward Nick Minnerath added 18 points and eight rebounds. Junior guard Ray McCallum and senior forward Doug Anderson scored 16 points apiece, respectively, while Evan Bruinsma grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with four points.

UDM led at the half, 36-33, before outscoring the Panthers, 46-41, in the second stanza, to win its third–straight road game.

With the score tied 46-46, Ryan Haggerty hit a three-pointer to put the Panthers on top 49-46 with 13:14 remaining. Detroit would answer back with a jumper by Minnerath followed by a fast break dunk from McCallum to take a 50-49 lead as the Titans never trailed again. Milwaukee (5-19, 1-9 HL) would trim the lead to one, 73-72 with 1:29 left, before the Titans closed the game with a 9-2 run.

The Titans ended the game shooting 52.5 percent (31-59) from the field, including 81.3 percent (13-16) from the charity stripe, while Milwaukee shot 44.3 percent (27-61) overall, including 41.7 percent from downtown (10-24).

SERIES WITH GREEN BAY
This will be the 45th meeting between Detroit and Green Bay, with the Titans owning a 25-19 lead. Detroit won the first meeting this year 84-76 at Calihan Hall.

ABOUT THE PHOENIX
When JT Yoho's three-pointer bounced off the rim with less than 10 seconds left in the first overtime Thursday night, it looked like Green Bay (12-12, 6-5 HL) would escape with a hard-fought home victory. But the long rebound caromed right into the hands of Miles Dixon, who drained a three-pointer with 1.7 seconds remaining to force double overtime.

In double overtime, Yoho took advantage of another opportunity, sinking a game-winning three-pointer with 9.5 seconds left to give visiting Wright State (16-8, 7-4 HL) a 70-68 win in Horizon League men's basketball action at the Resch Center.

Green Bay led 32-28 at halftime and still clung to a 52-49 advantage late in regulation, but Yoho made what proved to be the game-tying three-pointer with 1:57 remaining.

THE TITAN FIVE
Detroit boasts one of the most balanced attacks in the nation with all five starters averaging in double figures. Junior guard Ray McCallum, leads the team in scoring with 18.5 ppg, while senior forward Nick Minnerath and junior Jason Calliste average 14.2 ppg and 14.0 ppg, respectively. Doug Anderson (12.0 ppg), along with sophomore forward Juwan Howard, Jr. (9.8 ppg) fill out the starting five. Detroit's starters are responsible for 86.2 percent of the Titans scoring, while four rank among the top-20 in the Horizon League.

MINNERATH NAMED HL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After scoring a game-high 27 points Friday night on ESPNU Detroit senior forward Nick Minnerath was named the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week, for the week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3. The award is the first of Minnerath's career, and the third for the Titans this season.

Minnerath started the week by leading Detroit to a key road win at Wright State, scoring 18 points and collecting four rebounds. The senior went 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. Minnerath saved his best effort of the week for Friday, when he scored a game-high 27 points against Youngstown State.

The effort was the fourth time this season Minnerath has exceeded 20 points, and the forward is one of five Detroit starters averaging 10 or more points on the year. On the week, Minnerath was 14-of-25 from the field, including a 6-of-14 mark from three-point range.

CLOSING IN ON 1,000
Detroit junior guard Jason Calliste is closing in on becoming the 38th player Titan history to reach the 1,000-point plateau in his career. Calliste enters Saturday's game with 968 career points and is averaging 14.0 ppg, which ranks eighth in the Horizon League.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Detroit junior Ray McCallum currently leads the Titans in three categories this season scoring (18.5 ppg), assists (4.6 apg), and steals (1.7 spg.) and is also climbing up the career record board in all three. McCallum has 1,444 points (16th), 414 assist (8th) and 153 steals (5th) in his career. The last Titan to rank among the top-10 in all three of those categories was Rashad Phillips '01. Phillips finished his spectacular career with 2,319 points (1st), 548 assists (4th) and 190 steals (2nd). McCallum needs 158 points to reach that plateau.

ONE OF THE BEST IN THE NATION
The Titans are one of the best teams in the nation in turnover margin where they rank fourth (+5.5) overall. Detroit has forced 392 turnovers, while only committing 266 through 23 games this season. VCU (+8.1), Louisville (+7.0) and Arkansas (+6.5) are the only teams with a higher turnover ratio than the Titans.

RACKING UP SOME POINTS
As a team the Titans lead the Horizon League and rank sixth in the nation in scoring with 79.1 points per game. Detroit also leads the League in scoring margin (+9.3). The Titans average 84.0 points per game at home, compared to 72.5 per game on the road, but the defense has stayed steady only giving up 69.5 at home and 70.1 on the road.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE
