Team Shootouts Camp | Elite Camp | Father/Son Camp | Junior High Camp

DETROIT (4/16/13) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team has announced its summer camp dates including the widely renowned Ray McCallum Basketball Team Shootouts and the Elite Camp.

Along with the Team Shootouts and Elite Camps the Titans will also host a Father/Son and Junior High Camp.

There are two different dates for the Team Shootouts: June 17th and June 18th, with each camp featuring three guaranteed games (possible five games), registered officials on each court and shirts for team members. The cost is just $150 per team-- hurry, there are only 32 team spots available per camp!

The Elite Camp is scheduled for June 12th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. This camp is designed for top players to spend a day with coach McCallum and his staff and see what Detroit Titans Basketball is all about. Players will face an elite level of competition and will be evaluated by UDM coaching staff. Players will receive a camp T-shirt and will gain knowledge of NCAA rules as well as flexibility and strength training ideas.  Cost of this camp is just $35.

The Father/Son Camp is scheduled for June 30th from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This camp is an opportunity for fathers and sons to come together and learn basketball at a very introductory level. Attention will be focused on development of young basketball players as their fathers work alongside them. Along with the fundamentals of basketball this camp will emphasize the importance of building meaningful relationships.  The Camp includes fundamentals, games, contests and individual instruction from UDM coaches and players. Father and son will both receive an official UDM Basketball NIKE camp T-shirt. Cost of this camp is $75.

The Junior High Camp is set for June 24th, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and is an opportunity for junior high school students to come together and learn basketball at a very introductory level. Attention will be focused on development of young basketball players as UDM coaches work alongside them. The camp includes fundamentals, games, contests and individual instruction from UDM coaches and players. All participants will receive an official UDM Basketball NIKE camp T-shirt. Cost of this camp is $35.

All four camps will be held on Dick Vitale Court inside historic Calihan Hall.
