SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (4/20/13) – The Detroit women's tennis team finished a perfect home season and clinched the third seed in the Horizon League Championships with a 4-3 victory over Milwaukee on Saturday at the Franklin Athletic Club.
 
Elena Strakhova and Valery Kulikovskaya took first doubles, 8-5, and Nino Sujashvili and Irina Slizovskaya clinched the doubles point with a win at second doubles, 8-7 (7-4). The pair of Raina Halabi and Chloe Karoub took third singles, 8-5.
 
Sujashvili earned her second win of the night as she took second singles, 6-1, 6-3 and Irina Slizovskaya took her match at fourth singles, 6-3, and 6-1. Kulikovskaya clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win at fifth singles.
 
With this win Detroit improves to 11-5 (5-2 HL) and Milwaukee falls to 12-9 (4-2 HL). The Titans have clinched the third seed in the HL Championships and finished the year with a perfect 7-0 mark at home.
