McCallum, Minnerath Finish NBA Summer League in Style

LAS VEGAS (7/20/13) – Former University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball stars Ray McCallum and Nick Minnerath finished the 2013 NBA Summer League in style, as both scored in double figures in the Sacramento Kings 93-87 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday (July 19).

The Titan duo combined for 22 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot in the Kings first win.

McCallum, the 2013 Horizon League Player of the Year, recorded his first double-double of the Summer League as he controlled most of the game finishing with 12 points, 11 assists, six rebounds, and one steal in 31 minutes of action.  McCallum finished the Summer League averaging 12.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.2 steals per game while only turning the ball over 12 times in five games.

Minnerath, who was named to the All-Horizon League First Team, finished his Summer League with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including 2-of-3 from downtown, with one rebound, and one blocked shot in 18 minutes of action. Minnerath recorded two double-digit scoring outings in the Summer League, while averaging 5.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
