DETROIT (9/30/2013) --
There have been a few rule changes regarding practices within the NCAA, but with less than 40 days until the season opener at Canisius, the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team held its first full team practice of the 2013-14 season on Monday.

With some conditioning in the morning, the Titans took the court in the early afternoon for their normal practice slot and began preparations for the new campaign.

"We have been able to have some full practices in the last two weeks with our two hours, but it's great to feel like we are not rushed through it. We will have more time to slow down and explain things," said head coach Autumn Rademacher, who is entering her sixth season on the sidelines for her alma mater. "We are still trying to put the pieces together and figure out who is going to be ready for us and obviously the young kids are still making an impression so we are very excited about the outlook."

Detroit will continue its normal practice routine for all of October as the lone exhibition on the schedule is slated for Oct. 30 at home against Marygrove. The season will begin on Nov. 8 at Canisius with the home opener set for Nov. 11 as the red, white and blue host Lawrence Tech.

Season and single game tickets to men's and women's basketball games are now on sale. For more information on purchasing tickets, contact the Titan Ticket Office at 313-993-1700 or visit the Titan Ticket page by clicking here.
