DAYTON, Ohio (1/26/2014) -- Three wins in doubles and six in singles helped the University of Detroit Mercy women's tennis team capture its second consecutive victory with a perfect 7-0 score over the Dayton Flyers on Sunday. 

After a 6-1 win over Chicago State on Friday, the Titans (2-2) completely overpowered Dayton (0-3) from start to finish as the match started with three doubles wins for Detroit. Sophomore Nino Sujashvili and freshman Viktoria Laskutova won 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, senior Julia Fernandes and sophomore Irina Slizovskaya won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles, and the trifecta was completed as sophomore Valery Kulikovskaya and senior Elena Strakhova won 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.

Singles featured more UDM success as Sujashvili, Laskutova, Slizovskaya, Fernandes, Kulikovskaya, and Strakhova won their matches 1-6 respectively helping UDM cruise to the victory. 

The next match for Detroit will be on Feb. 2 in Indianapolis as the Titans will face Butler for a match set for 10:00 a.m. ET.
