The Detroit women's basketball team scrimmaged first on Dick Vitale Court inside historic Calihan Hall and even broke out into a dance session at one of the media timeouts. Following the women's scrimmage, a dunk contest was held featuring several members of the men's basketball team.

Aaron Foster-Smith,
Chris Jenkins and
Patrick Onwenu all took turns with their best dunks. The five players were judged by none other than former Titan standout and 2013 Denny's Slam Dunk Champion

Dan Leach, as well as a member of Section 313.
The Detroit men's basketball squad followed with its own scrimmage, which featured several highlight-reel plays. After the games on the court were over, the team signed autographs for all the fans in attendance.
The UDM men's basketball team opens its season with an exhibition contest Nov. 1, hosting Siena Heights at Calihan Hall. The women's team starts the 2014-15 season on Nov. 8, welcoming Salem International to Detroit for an exhibition game.
