DETROIT (3/14/14) --
The University of Detroit Mercy Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the new partnership with Ypsilanti-based Pakmode Media + Marketing. Pakmode specializes in corporate partnerships, digital marketing and combining the two, to create unique and effective sponsorship activations.

"The Pakmode relationship will extend the reach of Titan Athletics locally, regionally and nationally as well as help improve our creativity," said Robert C. Vowels, Jr. Detroit's Director of Athletics. "The partnership will help us build a solid infrastructure and multifaceted platform that will maximize revenue and enhance our assets."

DeAnthony White will be the General Manager for Pakmode on the McNichols Campus, while Bilal Saeed, CEO & Brofounder, will oversee the launch and operations of the property. The two will work closely to put together an effective partnership program that will create new revenue opportunities for Detroit through mutually beneficial partnership at all levels.

"Being a Michigan based company helps us have a better understanding of the marketplace as well as the changes and energy coming from the resurgence of the City of Detroit," stated Saeed. "As we've done at some of our other properties, we hope to bridge the gap between campus and the city through effective partnerships and enhanced fan experiences. Detroit hustles harder and we share that mentality at Pakmode."

Pakmode adapts to the media industry's rapid evolutionary pace, using their deep understanding of sports media to align their clients and projects with such. Pakmode's expertise in social media, mobile, and other digital platforms amidst such constant change makes this partnership crucial to the department's growth, integration of new media efforts and creation of revenue streams through this aforementioned integration.

"Titan athletics has such great history with a beautiful venue in Calihan Hall and of course Dick Vitale Court," said White. "Detroit's future is looking bright, and Pakmode is thrilled to be a part of the vision Robert Vowels and his team have put together moving forward."

The Titans will host a special "March Madness" Roundball Luncheon on Thursday, March 20 from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Ed & Brooks Room inside Calihan Hall. Dan Leach the voice of Titans Basketball will host the reception, while Vowels will introduce Pakmode.
