Horizon League 2014 Championship Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS (3/8/2014) -- All 144 Horizon League games are in the books and the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team will have the eighth seed and host an opening round game as the bracket for the 2014 Horizon League Championship was finalized today.

Detroit will host No. 9 Valparaiso on Monday at 7:00 p.m., on Dick Vitale Court in historic Calihan Hall. Normal ticket prices are in effect in $6 for adults and $4 for children and seniors, with UDM students getting in free with a University ID. The winner of the Titan-Crusader match-up will travel to top-seeded Green Bay for the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 12.

The other quarterfinal games will be No. 7 Milwaukee at No. 2 Wright State, No. 6 Oakland at No. 3 Youngstown State and No. 5 Cleveland State at No. 4 UIC.

The highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals will host the semifinals and championship on Friday, March 14 with the title game on Sunday, March 16, televised live on ESPNU.

Detroit split its two games with Valparaiso on the year falling on the road, 85-44, before posting a come-from-behind 81-79 victory at home. UDM leads the all-time series, 12-7, including 7-3 in the Motor City.
