VANCOUVER (8/17/14) - The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team improved to 3-0 on its #VancouverTrip following an 81-70 win over the University of Fraser Valley on Sunday afternoon at the Envision Athletic Centre.
 
Five Titans scored in double figures led by senior forward Patrick Onwenu who finished with 19 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots, while his classmate Juwan Howard Jr. pitched in 12 points with three steals. Sophomore guard Jarod Williams scored 14 points with seven rebounds and seven assists, while his backcourt classmate scored 10 points to go along with two assists and two steals.
 
Junior center Patrick Ackerman played 23 minutes and finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and one steal, while senior guard Brandan Kearney was also active with seven points, four rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes.
 
The Titans will wrap-up their four game trip to Vancouver on Monday when they face Trinity Western University. The game is scheduled to start at 10:00 p.m. ET at the Langley Events Centre.
